Have never noticed a place with good food. Mostly understandable in the centrum where space is at a premium and mixed usage creates licensing problems I'm sure.
TBH like a cliched tourist I have taken weed from Barney's/Dampkring to the uptown place across the street. I know it is a very basic tourist play but for want of a better option I have found it does the job for about 10 more EU than I might ordinarily spend.
Obviously grabbing a herring roll or cone of Vlamese frites or FEBO are all good 'on the go' options. Personally I like to grab something from AH and find a nice picturesque canal and bench to relax and eat while soaking it all up.
When the weather is not so good though where do you go for something good to eat and a nice smoke while you are doing it?

I think Hill Street Blues do toasties and snacks. Amnesia also does or used to do snacks. Some of the Bulldog chain might do cooked breakfasts and burgers to apparently.

I like the atmosphere at Barney's far better than Greenhouse and the other CS's. Still, GH does have a good kitchen. Very good breakfast, burgers, etc.
Usually we do the Barney's thing.. Vape across the street, then sit down for food at Uptown.

Most c/shops concentrate on weed and drinks[not alcohol]food isn't really a must do or on their radar, you may get a toastie,so the basic toastie you will get is two slices of bread some thin cheese maybe a hint of onion, and a lovely smile, coffeeshops and food don't really mix in the current climate.Barneys chain which is very expensive have somewhere you can buy food in and also allows you to smoke but that is not a coffeeshop.there are a great many food joints in the 'Dam,my simple advice is;if you want to eat go to a restaurant or get a take away,if you want drink alcohol go to a bar and if you want to smoke go to a coffeeshop, yes you may find somewhere you can do all three, but imho it is the experience of finding little gems that cater for you in their own ways that seem to stick in my memory

Went to La Grotte on Haarlemmerstraat last trip, food was decent and a reasonable price. Liked the atmosphere as well, will definitely be back here on my next visit

While not a Coffeeshop, it's real close to a real good one. The "smoking room " sounds interesting.

I quickly moved on from the gimmick that is Febo. It's a dirty place. There are plenty of quint places accessible for tourists that service good food at good prices. You just have to push yourself while stoned to hang out for service and for them to cook your meal. But good, fresh food is always so much better for the munchies. Burger Bar was unbelievable both times that I had it. That place is the shit. Although, McDonald's Europe is generally 5-star compared to Aussie McDonald's (although Japan seriously takes the cake. The McChicken I had at Tokyo's Airport was probably the tastiest chicken fast-food product I've ever had in my life.
Speaking of Tokyo, that would be such an amazing city for the munchies, although there is probably no chance of getting and smoking weed in Tokyo, and getting away with it for long. Great food city of the world. Amsterdam is great in its variety, and is like the naughtiest city when it comes to offering food.

BK is pretty good over here as well, and fresh (at least when you order complicated stuf that they have to make specifically)

True up to a point. No hot food. They don't like the smell to be too strong. Over the road there is a place selling cakes and sandwiches. Anything (cold) in there is fine to bring in.
