Day 6: Friday 20th April 2012
We were all supposed to meet at Dampkring but, being rubbish, J and me were late.
When we arrived there was a large group outside waiting to move around the corner to the Koningsplein Webcam.
New arrivals included n4tur3, Spireax, Lefthook718 and EdAmsterdam.
Colina had some kind of tablet gadget so we were able to watch ourselves live on the Internet.
We had no banner this time so I tried jumping up and down for anyone watching.
I haven't noticed any videos posted yet, but I did spot these stills:
From ftcarer
From Dave J
After the webcam we split up into smaller groups, planning to meet up again in 420/de Kuil.
J headed off to the museum area and I headed off along the Spui.
Just then a heavy shower started.
I popped back to the apartment to pick up my passport to make sure I didn't get refused entry to anywhere (as it turned out, I never needed it).
The shower didn't last long and I took the opportunity to log into the forum and type a quick live update.
As I was walking to 420/de Kuil, I remembered that Amsterdam Cribs had asked me to pop by and pick up some copies of my map that they had printed.
I knocked on their door next to the headshop on Oude Hoogstraat and was handed a roll of A3 size sheets.
Strangely, they had stretched out the map across the sheet so it looked really weird!
Looks like there was a drop of rain on the lens when I took this pic approaching 420/de Kuil.
Inside the cat was waiting with a look of attitude.
Or maybe s/he had just breathed in deeply.
Another little session ensued.
At 4:20 there was a countdown, a cheer and a massive joint emerged from behind the bar.
I've got a great video of Philly-Rich smoking on that giant spliff.
Soon after 4:20, following tradition, we all drifted over to the Nes where DC had cakes for us and announced that the Hestia Cup winners were Voyagers, 1e Hulp and Utopia.

(The ACD sign on the table is the box that the medal that Trad gave to Gapie came in.)
To be honest, I can't remember much after that. I must have been thoroughly 420'd !
Yet another excellent day with loads of people.
