Haha when I get home I just skin up and spark it, seems to do the jobZBeebs wrote: When I get home from work I'll roll a joint and pass a flame near it and get it nice and toasted. I will then use an instant-read laser thermometer to get the exact temperature. My money says we get nowhere near the temps you claim.

http://www.physlink.com/education/askexperts/ae1.cfmWe performed a series of experiments in order to determine the actual temperature of the lit cigarette. Here are the results for the temperature at different locations and under different conditions:
Temperature without drawing:
Side of the lit portion: 400 deg C (or 752 deg F)
Middle of the lit portion: 580 deg C (or 1112 deg F)
Temperature during drawing:
Middle of the lit portion: 700 deg C (or 1292 deg F)
The above numbers represent the average we obtained by performing several trials and can be considered accurate to within 50 deg C. A standard Fe-CuNi digital thermocouple thermometer was used in all trials.

yes, I will never understand why anyone would want to add cancerous tobacco to there bongs.... I have friends who have always done this and act wierd that I roll pure weed lol... I gave up trying to make them see sense. if you smoke baccy in bongs then I strongly suggest stopping. There is just no need
Re: why people put tabacco in bongs
I have a range of liquid tobacco extracts that I sometimes put a drop of onto my vaporizer bowl. Depends on the strain. I like a drop of strong tobacco flavor with a tad of nicotine on a stanky indica. Mint extract can be real nice, especially when vaporized on something like a fuely haze, thru a bong with ice. Pure PG or VG liquid(no flavor) works well too, add a few drops to to create bigger vapor clouds with a better hit/flash, even at low-ish temps (180-210).

the chemicals and nicotine in tobacco raise the blood pressure a lot so they maybe thats why they think thatRonaldHorratio wrote:Some people say that tobacco helps maximize the effect of the herb. I think its a more European habit to do splits, in the states almost nobody puts tobacco into their smoke.

Pure is much better imho, nicotine seems to mitigate the effect creating a ceiling to the high. I used to smoke much more weed when I mixed it with baccy and no longer crave a spliff.

Good on you! Bluntwraps are (for what I know) made with a pulp made of tobacco leaves. Pretty cool stuff tho to make yer blunts with, but old school smokers make blunts with real cigars. And no, cohiba doesn't make blueberry cheesecake flavored cigars.LionofJudah wrote:I ACCEPT NOTHING GODDAMMIT!Slip & Sal wrote:Accept massive leaves of tobacco, that were invented in America called bluntwraps.
