Early(-ish) coffeeshop in de Pijp?

As I'm going to be staying there on my next trip, and I don't know whether I'll be able to greet the morning in an appropriate manner in my theoretically non-smoking hotel, I was wondering if there were any. It's not a proper Amsterdam day until that first smoke.

According to the directory and my own experience, most open at 11 or 12, at least in theory. The Atlantis apparently opens at 8 in summer, and the reviews there are intriguing. But there don't actually appear to be any in the forum here, and a bit of desultory googling seems to indicate that it's (now) something called the Amsterdam Meeting Center. Whether that means there's no coffeeshop I can't tell; Google Street View is inconclusive.

And no matter how late I'm out, I'm unlikely to be up and ready for my proper breakfast of a cappuccino and a pipe, or several. So any info/recommendations will be gratefully received.

Last year I tried the (Super?) Lemon Haze at the GH Tolstraat. A little overpriced but might be just the right starter for a Sativa morning session. Have fun!

Yeah, I want to go back down that area again next month as it sure does feel different. Besides I want to try the market out this time as I should get some t-shirts for the little un for less than the €15 a go I paid on Damrak last year and those waffles sound like some good stoner food.

Cheers, all. Club Media is one of my top how-did-I-miss-that-one-out coffeeshops to try anyway, so a Mokum breakfas might be just the thing.

I'll check out Atlantis in any case, if it's still there. It does sound good from all accounts.

And thanks for reminding me about Noon – in February I stayed at the strictly non-smoking EasyHotel, where their website asks you to please note that the windows don't open, and you know exactly what they mean by that, even before you've seen the €400 fine notices for smoking. And no breakfast either, just the option of machine coffee, a joke at best and a particularly cruel one in a city where you have to be unlucky to be served bad coffee. Aching for that morning smoke, which I finally got when I found the place, and not before time. Though thinking about it, it's an odd name to give a coffeeshop that opens early when so many do in fact open about noon.

On another day, wander through the market to De Graal, which I believe also opens at 10. Given the choice, I'd probably go here even before Club Media, but I like talking to the musician types who hang out there.
