Paradise was one of the first coffeeshops I walked into back in 2001. I just wanted a hot drink and a place to get warm for a while. Only 2 other people there, so it wasn't like I was taking up valuable space. The guy said I had to buy something from the menu. I chose the cheapest Afghan hash...about 10 Guilders or something. Pure Camel dung.....which I later tossed into the waste bin, instead of gifting it with all my other leftovers to a guy that worked at my Hotel. I won't darken their doorstep again. It even made me wary of any shop with Rasta colors as a motif. My only real negative experience in 4 trips to Holland. Never stepped inside a Bulldog though.

Its the worst tourist trap on Rembrandt Plein- go elsewhere

i found funny people staff extremly rude we already had some weed on us and decided to go in and grab a coffee and spliff after we asked for our coffees we were handed a menu and told to sit and drink u had to buy weed. That was still the case after we bought a hash cream cake and a space muffin. we bought a spliff of dont know what but it was stinken defo wont be back here

i always felt i couldn't post a worst coffee shop, have been to a few stinkers but were still ok. that is until my mate treated me to coffee and smoke at paradise coffee shop. i didn't buy the coffee which was 3 euros i didn't buy the minimum buy of 25 euros but i felt like i was being ripped off 2.2 grams of polm for 25 euros what a rip off and the worst smoke you could ever buy. fucking shithole of a place

Hey man...just wondering whet it is about Dutch Flowers that you dont like...i visit here every trip,always got good MJ,good sounds and a great view...I've often wondered why its on the least fave shops list...

I don't know, never seen the stairs open in double reggae, but weed is really shit (and i think expensive), thier pre rolled are awful and I don't like the budtender, standing on the front of the door, calling the tourists by shouting "hash, marijuana" in the street.

Budtender was really rude, watching Batman the Dark Knight and seeming to be really bored when I asked him to see the buds.

The Grasshopper is a truly awful shop. I like the look of the place but the staff could very well be the worst on the planet. I tried to get the attention of the two young Bud Tenders, who where doing each others hair, while my coffee sat under the machine getting cold.
A very close second worst shop, for me, is "The Black Star". I wanted to like this place as it was very close to my Hotel, that was not the case. Being an African shop I thought they might have some good Durban. When I made my request the Bud Tender produced a bag that was about six feet from me and asked, "do you want it or not"? I gave him the 10 Euro only to find seedy brown schwag. I asked for a coke but instead of responding he headed out the door. That is the worst experience that I have had in an Amsterdam Coffee Shop.

Got sucked into the Bulldog (Leidesplien) by 2 of my mates who insisted we check it out. Now I knew what we where in for as i did quite abit of research before travel and damn i was right. The budtender was a complete cock head, just plain rude. The drinks came in polystyrene cups, which sucked. The music............Crap
Decor.......... cool for 5 mins then it just made me feel for all those innocent's locked up for MJ charges.
Weed substandard to say the least. Bought some silver haze and it tasted gash and had no high, looked like it had been "shaken" of all its triches

Overall ill give it a 4/10 as the bouncer was friendly enough haha

I stayed next to the Bulldog and the only time i went in there to purchase anything was when the bar ran out of papers. The hostel next door was quite fun though!

Agreed, with the exception of GH tolstraat. Nice spot, and it has a turnstile.
