The music is just some production music from Kevin MacLeod. He has a site where anyone can download his music to use in various productions free of charge.

Thanks again for all the comments and compliments. I'm glad that so many people find these short subjects entertaining. The next video I'll be posting will feature Coffeeshop 137 aka Sturgis. With a little luck, I'll be uploading that video on Saturday morning.

Moar to come...

Meeting at Coffeeshop 137

Saturday, 31 March 2012:

As our day of coffeeshop crawling continued we made anonother stop further down Brouwersgracht at Coffeeshop 137, formerly known as Sturgis located at Brouwersgracht 137, in the Jordaan district across from the little iron drawbridge on the canal.

The video opens with exterior shots and street scenes from the corner of Brouwersgracht and Willemsstraat. The scenes from inside the shop feature a look through the large windows as our little group has taken over the table and seats at the front of the shop. You'll also get a good look at the menu and the featured items and prices.

The original music is performed by Kevin MacLeod and it is provided royalty free from http://www.incompetech.com/

Thanks for viewing.

I certainly do appreciate all the interest and kind words regarding the videos I have been posting from my trip earlier this year.

The next video will not be quite as interesting as it will be street scenes from Haarlemmerstrat as seen through the window at La Grotte. It will be just a simple video due to time limitations resulting from my Labor Day trip to Tennessee.

Saturday, 31 March 2012:

Eating at La Grotte

Toward the end of the day of coffeeshop crawling jollylittlhun and myself went for food at La Grotte breakfastbar on Haarlemmerstraat among several well known coffeeshops. La Grotte also calls itself a coffeeshop, but only in the respect that they sell coffee in a smoker friendly environment. They have a selection of smoking apparatus for use if you happen to be without a pipe of your own, but they do not sell the herb from that location. You'll find La Grotte at Haarlemmerstraat 34 in the Western Main Canals district near Centraal Station. This pleasant diner is situated in a prime location with the nearest coffeeshops being Popeye just across the street and Dampkring 2 just a few steps away. The food menu features favorites such as breakfast, frites, toasties and salads among other popular items, reasonably priced and served by friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere.

The video features pictures of the food we ordered during our visit and then continues with an extended view of the pedestrian traffic passing by on the sidewalk as well as the bicycle and motor taffic that make up this typical street scene from the corner of Buiten Vissersstraat and Haarlemmerstraat.

The original music is performed by Kevin MacLeod and it is provided royalty free from http://www.incompetech.com/

Thanks DRA.

Here's a list of other frites joints in town, recommended by Awesome Amsterdam
http://www.awesomeamsterdam.com/article ... should-try

"When in Amsterdam be sure to visit one of our favorite vendors for a paper cone of piping hot patat:
- Vleminckx, our favorite fries, is a tiny shop near Spui with a cult following
- Chipsy King near Leidseplein has fresh crispy fries
- the Burger Bar chain also has some really tasty fries
- many people also enjoy the touristy Manneken Pis near Dam Square, voted #1 patat in Holland"

In the past, I had enjoyed the frites at Mr. Tom on Warmoesstraat but they have changed ownership, I think and the quality of the product seems to have declined. What do I know? I still enjoy Febo! hahaha!
