September trip.

Post by wabread »

Hi guys, I maybe a new user but Ive been watching and reading these forums for many a year. Always reading up when I planned to go visit the land of the free but every time my plans fell through.
Since the Wietpass is coming into pass and Ive never been, I have booked and paid for a weekend in Amsterdam with a friend. We are both arriving on Friday the 14th of September till Monday the 17th. Since this may be my only opportunity onto of the fact I intend to quit smoking weed for good after this trip, I really want to experience the best Amsterdam has to offer to the fullest.
I would really appreciate it if a a fellow member or local resident would be willing to 'tour guide' us round the best OF THE BEST cafees in Amsterdam. I really dont want to loose any time running back and forth trying to find a specific shop ( I have 2 apps that use GPS and list numerous cafes, but cant trust technology all the time huh ;) ) We also want to hit some club/s on Friday and Saturday night.
I would welcome any willing friendly forum member.. in return you can jam with some real Yorkshire English lads and join us in our smoking :)
I hope someone will take me up on the offer.. someone or some people it doesnt matter. the more the merrier = more jiggas in rotation! :)

Welcome to the forum.

You have been posted on the September Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

If you don't see yourself, click your refresh or reload button
Your browser sometimes loads pages from your local cache and
you don't get the latest update.

Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

First timers get my S G Collins recommendation
I think a read of this will maximize your efficiency once you get there.

How not to get hit by a bike and other stuff they forgot to tell you about Amsterdam.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.

Ill be there until 15th and can show you some stuff if you want.

Although, half the fun is wandering around and discovering for youself. Youill come across some quirky little shops and cafes en route.

What I would do is read the reviews and look the menus to pick out the shops you wanna visit, then use the cs map to find them all!
Get your trousers on son, you're nicked!

I'm all up for wandering, exploring and sightseeing the beauty of Amsterdam but Ive read up quite abit on how much of the commercial cafes sell high priced basic weed whereas the less well known cafes have some of the best buds around.

ontop of the fact we would like to hit some clubs in the evening a guide would be most helpful..
