Here is a late smoke report from January with a few highlights thrown in. While planning another visit I am motivated to post some information similar to details that have helped me in the past.

Monday

Took the Connexion shuttle from Schipol to my hotel after asking the driver to drop me off last so I could see more of the city. Always enjoy this tour informal tour. It’s a way to see new parts of the city, learn where the landmarks are and gives insights into local lives and other travelers.

Dropped off bags at the Amsterdam Wiechmann Hotel @ Prinsengracht 328 , walked to bikecity.nl on Bloemengracht for a rental and then rode to Westerstraat Market.

I think the Jordaan is the prettiest part of the city and enjoy trips more when staying there.

The Wiechmann is a gem and lower priced, Bike City’s bikes are always in perfect working order and are unmarked.

The Westerstraat Market has hundreds of vendors that sale clothing and some other items on Monday mornings. Within an hour and three blocks I had bought several gifts for my wife and daughter. French designer blouses, purses, euro blues jeans for a few euro each.

Dropped the bags of brownie points back off at the hotel and hurryied to meet Gapie and others at a T&T at Voyagers.

Voyagers
This was my first time to Voyagers and I was impressed.

It was great to see Gapie, Bleak and Lady J again and to meet other forum members. I bought a gram of their Nepal hash to try later and a couple Super Lemon Haze buds for the group to smoke. The Nepal from Voyagers proved to be the pleasant surprise of the trip. It is a classic nepalesse hash with a crystal clear high. This one burns very clean, has no body stone or let down and doesn’t interfere with work. Wish I had a couple more grams.

The staff were very welcoming and used a volcano vaporizer to fill large vapor bags with the Haze for our table to pass around. I remember liking the haze then everything getting covered in a joint, bong, magic flight and vapor bag avalanche.

Last year I learned about this forum in Katsu. Gapie, Bleak, Lady J and a cool English guy were discussing cannabis and Amsterdam at the next table and were friendly enough to invite me to join in. I also learned that I can’t keep up with a table full of power smokers, especially when everyone is excited by their latest purchases and willing to share.

The group decided to move the party to Anyday. I misunderstood and rode ahead to Abraxas Too. Eventually it dawned on me that there had been a failure to communicate but I couldn’t use my locked phone to reach Gapie and catch up.

Tweede Kamer

I’ve visited Amsterdam more than a dozen times and this is one of the shops that has had great gear every time. The staff are experts and usually have some of the best hash buy in their pocket as a personal stash. This year was no exception; they were both smoking Sherazade, a mid priced Riffman supplied polm.

Asked about the highest priced Riffman hash, Noor. They agreed that is strong but didn’t think it was suitable as an every day smoke. It is greener in color than a polm and was moist and bendy.

Picked up 3 grams of Sherazade and 2 grams of Noor.

The Sherazade gives a pleasant soaring high with a subtle body stone, fades after an hour or two with no letdown and burns completely clean.

Took the Noor to Dutch Flowers on the corner and was lucky to get a window seat. The Noor was a little overpowering. The high was rushing and confusing like a strong nederhash. I couldn’t do more than stay in my chair and enjoy the busy view for an hour. One of the best places to grab a drink and people watch.

Writing this up is helping me remember details.

I will try to post a few pics.

Thanks, real life takes up too much time.

Can a bike be taken on a train to Alkmaar?

Did you get the Sherazade Sunrise or Sunset? I got the Sunrise a few weeks ago and thought it was really good for E8.50
