Hello all,
Only been to Amsterdam once before but got 4 days to myself so heading there this saturday (only 48 hours... so excited) to escape the world for 4 days.
I'm going alone and wondered if anyone can suggest good coffeeshops or smoker-friendly bars that are chatty and easy to meet new people at?
Thank you everyone.

Post a Toke and Talk in the travel plans section and see who's about - sure Gapie won't let you down

Thank you so much guys. Amazing advise!
I am totally Buzzin. Don't know how I'm going to get through work today and tomorrow.
Sorry, I'm probably being dense... What's T&T?
I'm pretty chatty once I get going so I'm sure if I take your advise and head to the places you recommended I'll meet good people pretty fast.
Have a great one next weekend.
Who knows, if all goes well I might not come home and see you there.

Hello and welcome Arron, seems like you're a bit giddyArron wrote:Sorry, I'm probably being dense... What's T&T?

T&T = Toke & Talk = Choose yourself a coffeeshop and decide upon a time /day to meet there, then make an open invitation to others in town for a smoke and a chat.
Just have a look in the forum Travel Plans section and see what others have done and use that as a kind of template for yours.
Somewhere central and easy to find is normally a good starting point and then after meeting up others may make suggestions and you move elsewhere (oh no, not a Coffeeshop crawl

Welcome to the forum.
What dates will you be in Amsterdam?
I'll post you on the Whos In Town page.
You can see who else may be in town and any Toke & Talks that are planned.
Enjoy

Thank you all!
Can't get over how friendly and helpful you all are.
I arrive this Saturday (11th) and there until Tuesday 14th.
A short trip but I'm sure I'll make the most of it.
Right, I'll head over to that page now and try to set up an open invitation.]
Thank you again,
Arron

You have been posted on the August Whos In Town page.Arron wrote:I arrive this Saturday (11th) and there until Tuesday 14th
You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
If you don't see yourself, click your refresh or reload button
Your browser sometimes loads pages from your local cache and
you don't get the latest update.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.
By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.
https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/membe ... le&u=79044
I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.
You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.
Enjoy

Re: Hello from UK
Flybynite, you are amazing!
Thank you.
I am planning to meet up with Gapie tomorrow (11th) at 7pm in Kadinsky by Dam Square (either the Coffeeshop or the Cafe if people are thirsty). But with it being a Saturday night I appreciate it's likely people will get side-tracked on route but I'll be there at that time. Probably in the Cafe as I'll need a beer by then unless people prefer the coffeeshop side.
Thank you.
