Goddamn right!! This American doesn't just go for the combustibles. I enjoy the pleasure of escaping the States and flying seven hours to another world. Once the plane lands, you aren't in Kansas anymore. I like the HK MP5s at the airport. Amsterdam is a fine destination, and my second city.

I can't imagine living so close.

As for the privilege, for me, the very notion that I could walk into an establishment with a "cash register" and buy some herb to smoke. No medical card, no lying to a "doctor" who collects a fee to issue a recommendation to get a card is needed or having to ask a friend with a card to buy some.

It was a truly an experience to be had and worth trying to reform the marijuana prohibition in the US. Making criminals out of people who want to smoke is the wrong direction, imho.

And today airfare went from $1150 yyz to ams with one connect... To $858 direct yyz to ams taxes included...

Holla!

EDIT: booked my airfare just now and was honestly surprised to see KLM keep that price stable for longer than 24 hrs. whew, so happy I booked and have my price... saved $300 and that's a big deal!

It's not about the price or the quality of buds...I'm on the west coast and can get the best weed anyway...it's about being embraced instead of shunned..it's about being made to feel welcome .instead of being treated like something is wrong with you, your made to feel normal..."come to our city and enjoy our cannabis and our culture"..I want to spend my money in a place that makes me feel like that.....I've never understood why Mexico never became to the America's what Amsterdam is for Europe...
