sorry, just got to this part on your travelogue and noticed you had a pic of this hotel. I stayed here for a few days over queensday 2011, i think it was actually still being built at the time tbh.
since reading i wish i had biked it from zaandam to amsterdam now rather than train it everyday!! it was hot tho when i went, and im no bradley wiggins
i wonder how its looking round them parts now??

Nice pic Skeeta, kind of shows the contrast between the old Dutch architecture ( Quaint ) building right in front. And the modern minimalistic crap uninspiring square box efforts of modern times ( Functional and bland)on the left. nice tales nice pics.

on a second look tho, the hotel does look like its tilting a bit. Bit worrying.

A quick drop off. We have similar signs in the US, as do Germany and Taiwan. An example would be for dropping off the kids at school, in the US. I think the Dutch version, most likely from 1950s era urban planning, would be wives dropping off their husbands to catch the train to work.Bilbo Baggins wrote:LOL just noticed the road sign in the pic just to the left a bit ----'' Kiss and Ride '' the Dutch think of everything. Yeah I work with urban planning, hence the geek response
