Colino: Minus the rain, your southwestern bike tour sounds wonderful. Kinderdijk will be part of one of my future trips, dammit.
I can't recommend a particular stretch of riding because I find bicycling the Dutch countryside to be uniformly excellent. The rolling meadows in Veluve National Park are nice and different, but the typical green flatness between the towns always satisfies. I guess I am a slut for the Dutch bicycle path :)
The 2013 ACD Bike Tour is building a strange momentum. Can we pull this off? Perhaps the first leg of the Tour could be a doable one-day trip out of Amsterdam, along the line of spireax's jaunt. (People could train it back to Amsterdam the same day.) Those of us with greater stamina (heh) would continue on a little farther, maybe to Enkhuizen.
To all you ACDers who have never followed a Dutch bike map and felt the joy of arriving at the next knooppunt: Do it.

I think doing some day trips out of the city coulb be a nice idea also 'cause anyone can decide how many km they want to do. Hope we can arrange something similar

Ha ha! The bike ride idea is " gathering momentum", an appropriate description I think. I would enjoy a day trip with a bunch of stoners.

I'd be up for this as long as I didn't have to lead the way. We'd probably go in a big circle and end up at Voyagers!

I'm in the planning stages of a may/june 3-week visit, and a toke n spoke or two out of the city will have to be part it. Here's an old bike tour map I still have...
figuring out a couple of stoner-friendly (day) bike tours would be nice. Maybe one in the waterland area, and another to harlaam/zandvoort. The tours could include coffeeshops/smoker-friendly bars, good places to eat, and neat places to stop, refresh, and take in the view.

I cant believe no one in Holland runs that kind of trip, they do just about every other type of tour. flowers, waterways, culture, etc. Lets hope it's not too late, Could be a little summer passtime for an old COOT like myself.

Quicky- Love your report, and I can't wait to hear more. Your weed descriptions are always so good.
Hmmm...Biking is now one of my main means of transportation around town, so I'd be in shape for a bike trip.

Lamont: Hunger is not enough; need is born of false attachments. The commitment to act, to join the cause, is everything. We expect to see you on the Tour :)
treetop: Many trips to the Netherlands seem to be big circles that begin and end at Voyagers, so I can’t see how a bicycle tour would be any different ...
EasilySuede: A French bicycle map of north-of-Amsterdam? Cool! What’s the vintage of that map?
spidergawd and geeks: I am glad to see stalwart members of the ACD boards endorsing the 2013 Bike Tour!

Masterkush (Het Ballonnetje, €12/g) - A smooth smoke. It makes me feel *good* almost right away. The sound of the wind in the trees just jumps out at me.
I sit here in my hotel room eating an apple. My thoughts feel altered. The motor skills required to stand or walk are not fully there.
I lie on the bed with the lights out. Music shows up as gold and red stripes on black velvet.
I decide to smoke more. I put the headphones back on and dance.
There’s a mysticalness, a psychological weirdness, to this Masterkush. It takes me to new places.

TwoCanucks: Yes, Masterkush is lovely. It's the most reliably excellent strain I've tried.

Lovely description. Makes me reconsider trying that insanely expensive Masterkush that my collective has right now...

The map says June 1990, but I got it with my rental at...
