Is all weed the same high to you?

I am trying to figure out if I am an anomaly, or if there are others out there who feel the same way.

I notice people speaking a lot about different strains, the effects they have on you, are they mellow, or do they bring you up etc etc etc.

For me, and I think I amongst a vast minority here, weed is weed. As long as it's not bunk crap, I get the same high out of all pot.

I guess what I mean is this, I can get "Different levels" of high, by how good the pot is, or how much I smoke. But I never feel different. I'm always the same. Just..... BAKED.

Now, I'm not saying that I feel that there aren't differences, but I am saying that my body is unable to detect them like other's seem to.

Now, don't think I'm a newb or anything, I have been a daily smoker since 1999. So, 13 years of weed strains, types, varieties, sources, 11 countries of varieties of pot.

Does anyone else out there feel this way?

I feel like I am missing out, does anyone have any suggestions as to what I might do to fix this?

I have probably tried every strain of pot in my life, but have never felt like any strains are different. It's all just weed to me.

The first thing id ask is have you been to these many countries trying these many strains or are they different strains from the same dealer or 2 that are telling you they are strain a, b & c from country x, y & z ?.

Have you been to Amsterdam and tried different strains from different coffeeshops and get the same generic feeling?.

Something to think about while toking away...
I think I understand what you are on about - smoke different strains of a Sativa or Indica and the effects would basically be the same. Am I close?
I've had a variety of Sativas which some would provide me with a nice high, while others would blow me away. It's mostly about the levels of THC, CBD, etc...
Then of course there's the variations in taste and smell, which for me adds to the experience, aroma therapy and all that.
Maybe you are an anomaly... go with it...

Edit: Try this experiment...
... smoke a little Indica and note the effects, wait for an hour and smoke a little Sativa and note the effects, and finally smoke a little oil/budder/ear wax and note the effects...
any differences? If so, no worries, you are a typical stoner. If not, smoke some more and go with it...

In thinking I wonder if the op means they get the same effect weather they are smoking a sativa, an indica or a hybrid of various indica or sativa dominant strains?. If so I don't see how that's possible to get the same feeling\effect from everything?.

sounds like he's never had a real nice grown herb... could be getting the same ol' bag weed from the same dealer who doesn't have a wide variety himself.

seems odds the receptors in his brain would react the same to every herb out there... anomoly, perhaps.

I have literally smoked weed all over the world, I live in Canada's pot capital, and have smoked for 13 years every day.

I just don't see the difference in feeling between the various strains and types of weed.

I get equally baked, I just don't feel any different each time.

I just don't see the difference in feeling between the various strains and types of weed.

I get equally baked, I just don't feel any different each time.

Really? Wow. Dont know how thats happening. Im not a massive smoker. Been using weed for 15 years but not heavily most of the time. The difference between say a haze and a Kush are massive. Completely different effects altogether. And of course the more potent ones give a different effect again. Not sure how to explain how you wouldnt notice any difference.

I think I'm in the same neighborhood as the OP, but with Space Cakes, and my issue is that I don't feel any effects, none, nada, zip...
I've shared cakes with others, and while they were having a "large" time, I was patiently waiting... and waiting... until finally I decided to light up instead...
Still though, I think the OP might need a full day crawl around Mokum, starting off with a nice mellow Sativa hybrid, a lovely pure Sativa for an afternoon delight, a relaxing Indica hybrid after dinner, and a soothing sleepy time pure Indica for the nightcap. Works for me every time...

Yeah, it is a fucking shame bigtime.

I'm choked, trust me I've tried to feel the difference a bunch of times.

I've been to Amsterdam 3 times, (and will again in a month woot!) -

This time it's my mission to get 3 different types of weed that are supposed to have entirely different effects, and smoke some in the morning, some in the afternoon, and some at night to see If I can tell the difference.

As far as space cakes are concerned, they've never ended up being a good time for me at all. In fact, I've eaten too much at one time a few times, and it's a bad trip.

One time I ate a space cake, thinking it was for 1 serving, turns out it was prepared as 8! Oops! Had a Mushrooms-esque trip on that one.

In the early days of smoking for me (only about 14 years) I must admit to having a similar opinion. Yet a little over 3 years ago I do some propped research looking at various reviews on what Amsterdam has to offer. 2 trips ago I had a pure joint of lavender seemed normal at first. Next thing I know I was walking round in fucking circles round dam for over an hour having an outer body experience. No matter what my head was telling me to sit down my body just wanted to walk and walk. Nice visuals of streaks of light to. Body did not want to stop. Have had strong couch lock indicas. The first time I tried Yellow Cab from grey area I had a happy high feeling and had the giggles every time the woman working at ricks bar smiled at me.

I'm a relative light smoker yet the more I smoke in dam the greater the differance is between the various gear I smoke there. Yet a pure of some gear doing the rounds on a walking trip on the 420 April event last year gave me a feeling of paranoia.

...I'm no doctor, but from my experience cigs ruin everything about cannabis....I think cigs are more powerful, and create problems, unlike cannabis curing problems.

If no:
How are you smoking the majority of the time? If joints/bowl try move strictly to bongs/vaporizer....it might cure lots of things, but fact is tar is still deposited into your lungs(which it can clean out for those who want to argue).......there might be a "transition period" for your tolerance since you are heavy smoker, but only a day or two I'm sure you'll get to stoned to notice!

No, I don't smoke Cigs, used to many years ago, and really did enjoy and after-toke-smoke, but it's been 6 years since I've touched tobacco.
