Jesscass - Thanks for your comment and your recommendation of the Cream. I have noticed a decline in the general quality of weed over the last few years, and like you said a lot less stand out strains, there are still some but there are fewer and they are harder to find. You have a good memory; i wrote last year 'The interesting diamonds are indeed harder to find each trip and the prices are going up.' I also agree that lots of the top of the menu 'high grade' weed is leafy and not manicured, not filled out and premature. It only sells because it is named '....' kush. Grey Area was a good example this trip - E16/g OGK and OG18 looked like commercial pressed Jamaican and didnt smell much different! I am glad that Amsterdam introduced me to the wonders of high quality hash so the decline of the quality of weed hasn't hit so hard - I can roll up some gooey mind numbing Moroc instead :D

TwoCanucks - Yeah it seems so. Dam only seems to produce a few nice hazes and the rest is usually shit. :x

Colino - Great minds think alike! :D Grand Cru was also my joint favorite Maroc with De Graal's Cream. I did get the zero zero from 1e - really nice and cheap too. But i forgot to look at the gardela

I totally agree with you about the weed situation over the past couple of years, last time I went within a day I was getting that "Doesn't this just smell like a Haze" feeling, and remember speaking to Budtender in the Blues Brothers I think - who pretty much said that I'd sussed it. So, hunting for something that seemed good quality and not a haze was what I was keeping my eyes out for.

Always found the hashes more dependable, less likely to change as much as they generally come from elsewhere, but the Haze thing I'm supposing this must have to be something to do with the growers out there. Saying that though, my first choice of smoke will probably be a nice SSH or Neville's Haze this time - still v nice weed, but there's a lot out there getting that same hazey taste.

Looks like a very nice selection of hashes you went through - that Rootang looks interesting, yet another to add to my to try list.

Cheers Pengaldinho, another nice smokealogue

Hear, hear!
In my case it was Voyagers trading ridiculous looking buds and charging 15€/g in May and July(e.g. Strawberry Sour Diesel, Pink Grapefruit(sp), Sour Power etc.)while Grey Area offered adequate looking buds. As your experience tells us again, batches come and go, everywhere!

Gardella from 1eHulp was indeed decent for the money in July!

By the way: Since I'm listening to rap too I'm aware of other so called parts of 'hip hop culture'. Thus I do enjoy your graffiti shots a bit(I'm not deeply enough into that matter though), thanks. Though I'm more into the 'destructive side' of that thing(e.g. creative and radical ways of bombing the 'system', 'quantity instead of quality' if you know what I mean. Tags not so much by the way.). So 'Street Art', 'legal walls' respectively 'artful pieces' are not my thing. On the other hand they are important parts of the whole thing  !

Flevo Park is nice, fairly big and not as busy as Vondel. Lots of nice places to sit and walk with a spliff :D. But i do go there primarily to for the graff.

Glad you're enjoying it, check out this thread for more Amsterdam graffiti https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/viewt ... 16&t=18854

Jesscass - That is why this forum is so useful - without it i would not have been to Voyagers or Utopia. :D

Day 3 Part 2

Got to Flevo on the right day as they were starting to board up all the graffiti for what looked like maintenance work.

Jumped on a tram to

Papilion for more yummy hash, these two were my staple - when ever i needed a spliff for the walk or a little hash spliff to complement a skunk one. And 5g cost E42!
2g Gredela – no pic
3 g Cream speical –no pic

Walked up past Moa Pies and it had a sign saying they were opening late today.

Media
1g Lemon skunk E10 – Nice change to find a good smoke that isn’t haze – this was skunky with a twinge of lemony funk, felt nicely sedated for a bit. Great value.
Image
1g Zooltjes E12 – Back to its best coated my mouth with yummy sweet taste, relaxing high.
Image
Image
Image
Image
1g Champaigne Haze E12.50 – smoked before I remembered to take a pic. Very nice, but not quite as good or as dense as Utopias.

Back down the road to

Moa Pies
Had a steak pie - good, then shared a vegetable curry with my mate – which was lovely. Great price 3 pies for E10. Good selection of sauces aswell. Thanks to the ACD people for recommending it, ill be back next trip to try more
Image

Walk down Alber Cuyptstart Image
Grab a waffle from Wally
Image

De Graal – no cream :( The woman said it would be back tomorrow, I never made it back. :(
1g Super High Rise E13 – With no cream and the poor NYCD I was reluctant to get any wiet but then I saw this and that not long ago Lamont had mentioned that it was the best sativa of his trip. I'm glad I remembered that because it was the joint best of mine :) (cheers lamont), it was really sticky – but still cured well, had a lovely cirtus haze funk and floaty buzz.

Pop back to the hotel, then on to
De Klos – (pic from last trip) Needs no words
Image

Anyday- smelt the nlx/sour and the MrNice/Sour – not sour smell.
.5 reserva – repeat purchase
.5 rootnag – repeat purchase. My mate said it made his hands tingle, I said his sativa sense was tingling.
Image
Image

Betty Boop
1g New York Sour Diesel E14 – My diesel hunt brought me here and it smelt pretty good in the tub. Smoke was nice, but again not quite full flavour madness.
Image
Image

HGF – closed for private party

Utopia to top up on the good shit.
1.8g Champagne Haze – asked how much a bud was and 1.8 was the answer, I guessed less but it was really compact. FOOKIN LOVLEY!

1g grand cru - supper smooth, thick smoke – clean taste and clear smiley buzz. 10/10 Great job nel and co.

1e Hulp
4g zero zero E7.50 – great bang for your buck. Posted most of this home but it never arrived. :(
Image
Image
1g Golden Amnesia E11.50 – The only amnesia that smelt strongly of amnesia, although it doesn't look all that – good taste and buzzy high. Another good deal from 1e.

Great report and pics mate.

Just wondering if you take your grinder with you when you fly, always looks the same one in your reports? If so do you clean it before flying or take it with you in hand luggage no problem?

Yeah i always take the same grinder.
Used to be this one for 5+ trips
Image
Till i retired it for the metal one. I never clean it and often accidentally leave a spliffs worth on top of the catcher, haven't had a problem yet - think I even took it as hand luggage through Schiphol last time. :D
