Just a quick point, thrichs dont always turn amber even on indicas. It could be down to strain or specific phenos

agree with ron you will struggle to find cured bud in dam, However sometimes not a bad thing i find specifically cheese has a cheesier taste without being cured as long as its dried slowly same with blue strains. Just my personal taste tho.

I have better luck finding well-cured bud when I ask the budtender to recommend something "really nicely cured". ( In particular I've had success with Voyagers, 1e Hulp, Club Media, and deGraal)

Trichomes sometimes just get cloudy, right? (Isn't this the case with White Widow and the other "Whites"?) I've never seen amber on one of those...

I can't believe there is anything more delicious than a well-cured blue strain.

I hope those who seek the fully cured bud find what they're looking for, mainly because I want people to be HAPPY!
Thx for the pics GM, but there seems to be one that is missing - the one with the perfect cure.
The first pic looks like a commercial cure. The second, maybe it was put in the oven to speed the drying process, and then put in the sun for that aged look.
As one can see, I'm not much of a fan of well (over) cured bud, but that's my choice. I believe in each their own, be happy.
An analogy of sorts...
Red Meat - rare, medium rare, medium, well done, burnt
Bud - under cured, commercial cure, standard cure, over cured, improperly cured

UR- I am skeptical that you can tell that much about how something is cured from a photo. (Trimmed, yes, but cured, not so much... at least I certainly can't.)

I'd be curious what process you are terming "commercial cure" and how that compares to ...home-cure? artisan-cure? whatever you'd call it. I've always just thought in terms of properly cured/ improperly cured... well cured, under cured, and that mythical beast- over cured, which I've never actually had because weed doesn't last that long in my universe.

edited to add- I am almost absolutely sure that those two batches of 1e Hulp weed went through the SAME curing process as each other.

I'd love to get the curing skill down- mine usually end up a little too dry; but this hasn't really been an issue when used only in a vaporizer. Still, I'd love to get to artisan-level cure skills at some point.
Anyone who really loves their end-results care to share their approach?
