I'm a little nervous about the strong stuff. A buddy of mine who smokes all the time went to Amsterdam and got hold of some product that made him very paranoid. In that state, he decided that the Coffee Shop experience was just a scam to get dumb American tourists wasted so they would be easy to rob. Then he saw a dog coming towards him and he was convinced that it was a trained dog and it was going to steal his bag.

yea man its not that at all! just ease your way up. if your really worried about paranoia stay away from the strong sativas. start with mellow ones, then go to the lighter indicas and on up. for hash just start with a mid grade moroccan hash. you'll have a good time, the first amsterdam trip is always a blast.
educating myself and waiting for the next trip.

I was looking at Sativa's because the regs I get at home usually make me crash. I don't want to spend my whole trip sleeping! But yeah, I guess I should start with a lighter Sativa, see how I react, and go from there.

Ask the budtender for recommendations, since the shops usually don´t list the strenghts of the weeds (some do).

I'm the opposite, I'll have to go for the very strongest when I first get there because I'm such a chronic at home.
I wish I was a little easier to please.
