Coffeeshops that have closed down
Over the last year or so there has been a few coffeeshops that have closed down, the Rokerij chain which we have all heard about.
What about Rasta Baby, Route 66, Route 99 and Sanementereng . Why have they closed down?
How many coffeeshops have you noticed that have closed down over the last couple of years?

Thanks for pointing that out, cant wait to see how it turns out.jollylittlehun wrote:Sanamentarang is closed for a refurb will be open again next summer i think
On the page for Sanamentarang it has a strike through the name so I assumed it was closed down as it has been closed almost a year now
Re: Coffeeshops that have closed down
I'm almost certain it is closed for good. Read through the reviews forum about the coffeeshops for more info.
Are you stoned? Like a gravel road bitch, like a gravel road!
Re: Coffeeshops that have closed down
I noticed a couple of closed coffeeshops last month, just not to sure which ones they where. Would be good if there is a list of them as there are quite a few.
I gather Old Church was due to close the start of this month to, has that been confirmed as closed yet?.
Seems like we could be into double figures for closed coffeeshops closed in Amsterdam in the last year or so before the end of 2012 and that's quite an alarming number in such a short time reguardless of reason.

Indeed. Another no-great-loss was that awful Paradise coffeeshop on Damstraat.
It's not nice to see coffeeshops closing but some are really so poor it does the industry no credit to have them still open.

Old Church has been given a 1 month reprieve. Have always said that it is one of the best places to have a joint and relax under the sun mottled courtyard outside the Old Church right across the street but it is universally accepted the weed is crap and they generally make customers buy some of it.

Agreed, never bought any weed from Old Church but definately a nice place to chill. Its a shame that more of them are closing. Does anybody know why they are closing down this month? Interested to know why all these places are closing up even though some of them the weed isnt worth buying.treetop wrote:Dave J wrote:I noticed a couple of closed coffeeshops last month, just not to sure which ones they where. La Canna too has closed down
Re: Coffeeshops that have closed down
One way to know for sure is to contact the City Govt. No doubt they have this info, plus much more. For example the number of registered brothels/prostitutes, etc...AmNeSiA22488 wrote:Over the last year or so there has been a few coffeeshops that have closed down, the Rokerij chain which we have all heard about.

All one has to do is go to the source like I have in the past. Simply put, it's too easy.
Happy trails...
