Hey there all. New member here, although been reading this forum for a while. Found ACD before my first trip in 2008, which I dont remember very well (my first time smoking weed, we only get hash, rather low quality most of the time where I am from, so weed was "new" to me)
I remember hating weed on my last day of my short, 4 day, trip. Complaining to my friend (a seasoned smoker who was on his 5th trip to the dam) that we should do something else other than hopping from coffeeshop to coffeeshop. Now, thats all I want to do there.
Oh how things have changed.
This time staying for a 8 nights (Oct 20-28), already booked an apartment, and made of lists of strains/CS to smoke/visit while there.
Just a question for fellow football fans on here, where are other places, other than satellite sports cafe (is it smoke friendly?), that would show multiple games at once (there are 2 champions league matchdays and 2 premiership weekends while I am there), preferably smoke friendly.
Cheers all, promise you a trip report, maybe even a "live" one if the apartment has internet.

You have been posted on the October Whos In Town page.
You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
If you don't see yourself, click your refresh or reload button
Your browser sometimes loads pages from your local cache and
you don't get the latest update.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.
By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.
You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.
Enjoy

I look at travel all day long, I organize travel for Sports teams for a living.
SO many times people get the nights/days thing mixed up and book the wrong dates for hotels.
All the best, have a sweet time tokin'!

Trip report good, pix of menus even better.
***********************************************
The etiquette of taking pictures in coffeeshops.
Especially menus.
*************** ALWAYS ASK FIRST **************
Most shops will let you take pix to your hearts content, a few don't
even care about videos.
ALWAYS ask first. It's always at the option of the bud tender, so if
one won't let you, go back on another shift and that one might let you.
Be persistant.
Generally, try to keep people out of the background. Some folks don't
want it known that they frequent Amsterdam coffeeshops, I do and I'm
proud but I'm not everybody. Menu pix are short range and don't have
much if any background.
Almost as an afterthought but of primary importance.
Remember, really stoned people don't like flashes of bright light
and most of the folks there are pretty stoned.
Don't use your flash if at all possible. Most digital cameras
will work in pretty low light and software can lighten it up later.
Often the bud tender will move a menu to better light or let you
take it to better light, say to a window with light streaming in.
And email them to CoffeeshopMenus@gmail.com . Be sure to mention
how you want it credited. I will post them and credit you or whomever
you designate.
Enjoy
