Your Greatest Sporting Moment?

Post by Rusty Shackleford »

What moment had your beers flying and spliff sparked in celebration?

For me there's a couple that sent me berserk

Liverpool winning Champions League Final in 2005

Sir David Healy winning strike against England at Windsor Park, Belfast

and again another from Sir David, scores a hat trick beating Spain 3-2 at Windsor Park, Belfast

Football,American Football, Rugby...even Tiddly Winks if that your thing :)

1992 - A week later Dallas beat the Bills in the Super Bowl 52-17 to win their 3rd Super Bowl.. then 2 more in 3 years.. unfortunately it's been a long dry spell since 96..

When Dexter Manley Took out Danny White in 1982 :D

Kidding.

Skins winning the Superbowl in 1987 and 1991.

But for me the ultimate sports win was when US skiier Bill Johnson won the downhill gold at the 1984 Sarajevo winter Olympics. Such an upset, which pissed off all my European friends!

Adamster.... those are some fighting words. lol

Just to relieve you amnesia, the last time the Leafs won the cup was 1967, not 1976.

Why such hate for Vancouver?

Robert was brought up about a mile from my house and i think he is back staying in the area. I know his mum still stays in the same house

Mine is 1995, standing in Keilder forest in the pishing rain watching a Scotsman become the first Briton to win the World Rally Championship since Roger Clark in the 70's.

west coast>east coast...that goes for north america as a whole :D

and i think the main mt range in bc is the cascades not rockies..could be wrong though

isn't alberta the texas od canada...full of rednecks? iv heard you crack on alberta before saying this.

i agree though i did see alot of fucked up blind hate for french canadians there. i used to be a nordiques fan in the 90's and wore my sweater and caught a lot of flack for it.
educating myself and waiting for the next trip.

I am assuming most of what you said was tongue in cheek. So I will let it go.
