Fleeting memories of 17/18 sept 2012

Post by treetop »

My first long evening was coming for a while in Amsterdam. It felt different this time. Less exciting than expectant. The town was all in until I was all out of energy.

After an 11 hour flight Schipol Airport was a welcome sight. After a very quick transfer I saw the back of it and was at the hotel. The Meininger at Slotordiyk Station. Only 47eu for a private double or triple as I actually got. The room was fine and hotel convenient for station.

Was nice to meet still smokin, keymoncha and Stan (aka Gapie) at Voyagers where we went through some of the menu and I enjoyed the 'scene' at Voyagers while observing more girls are probably required. We moved on to 420, Utopia maybe not in that order. After all that I went to Wok to Walk then got the 1:19am train into Slotordijk. There was some kind of stoned no ticket drama made up in my head on the way back. It all turned out ok and I got home safe.

The next morning I was up and ready to be at them by 8:30am.

So....

Rented a bike and cycled through the Jordan into town. Enjoyable ride and scenery. Visited some of the Western coffeeshops along the way into the Centrum.

t'Keteltje, coffeeshop spirit and 1ehulp were all visited on the way to Voyagers meet up. There was of course time to eat and wander as well as visit all these three coffeeshops. At 1ehulp they were friendly and had some good Amnesia. At T'Keteltje they had some good Silver Haze and were welcoming to me again.

At Spirit they were a bit more cagey. No menu shot allowed but we did chat a bit about weed. Their Amnesia was ok but I think I had something else.

Had to cut my Spirit coffeeshop down a bit and head for my next T&T over at Voyagers. Was kinda tired already by this time and was wondering how many others would be 'Amsterdammed.'

Amazingly enough no one was absent which is one of the great things about weed. No hangovers! We had some more of the Amnesia at Voyagers and several of the Kushes proved to be popular although some seeds were found. They might get some action soon.

All too soon it was time to bid a sad but fond farewell to my companions in smoke who carried on the good work while I scurried to the airport to attempt merging with the real world once again.

On the way home they threw everything at me, sniffer dogs, sniffer machines, random seaches all around me and I came out un scathed, un hurried to the train and a comfy 1st class seat home.

Next trip is soon and I have a smoke list written down for this trip. Just hope I did not leave my notes in a coffeeshop somewhere along the line. If can find my camera cable will post some pics and menu pics too.

Yo!

This was the first of the two times you popped out when I was over there, not too sure if I'm going to be able to make a travelogue myself after being out there for 3 1/2 weeks, well, anything to coherent anyway... the middle is sorta missing from my brain

Was good to meet ya man, esp that random day both in Club Media and went on to DeGraal for that game of chess

Verdamper session in Anyday...

Good times 8)
