scattered memories from a heavy 4 days c/s crawlin sep 2012

Wow, what a trip :) solo this time with very little planning or research, note- or picture-taking (apologies) just plunged headlong into the maelstrom, here are my partial memories.. all notes, prices, names & events are subject to severe discrepancies with reality!

Rolled into Voyagers around 10am, caught up with the friendly owners & regulars, got talking to an american dude who turned out to be cantona7, a 100% nice guy with shared musical interests. After an hour or 2 I got hungry so it was Albert Heijn for croissants and then Green Place. Got into a long debate re: wietpas with an english bloke with his daughters names tattooed on his arms, he was tired from getting up early & travelling so we arranged to meet up later on. The rest of the afternoon is a bit of a blur, i remember getting wok2walk and then lying down for a brief nap.. then it was 1am, and raining outside. woop! sorry james dude if you’re reading this! Bit of a waste of the 1st evening. went out for a night-time walk (a dutch girl asked me for an aansteker, who then kept on getting me to say ‘aansteker’, i guess my accent is funny..)

Woke up the next day feeling refreshed, jumped out bed for breakfast then hit up some coffeeshops- don’t remember which. At midday I had arranged to meet up with gapie @ voyagers he bounced through the door right on time. 1st time meeting this amsterdam legend and what can I say, stan you are the man :D We smoked up some waterworks ice hash (I guess I must have been to dampkring yesterday?) And then moved on to Grey Area where we met with cantona7 who had missed his flight home. This was our cue for a MAJOR 8-hour coffeeshop crawl. We headed to Green Place and availed ourselves of their excellent blue cheese (10/e/g) and lemon og (12e/g) and sat out front chatting & watching all the people flowing past. Then I suggested c/s Spirit, so we trekked over there and got ridiculously baked with spliff after spliff & games of pinball. I think we finished up at 420 before going our separate ways. happy memories :) recovered back at voyagers before crawling into bed around 1.

First thing next day I think I went to voyagers for breakfast (a cup of tetley tea), chatted to english dude called lawrence who was on his first trip, solo cos all his mates had welched, and totally loving it altho it was his last day. We went to the green place to stock up on blue cheese and had a smoke and a look for some souvenirs, then headed back to voyagers for 1pm as gapie said he was meeting up with staggerlee for his bday. well there was no sign of staggerlee but there was a whole ACD table with gapie, stillsmokin, LionOfJudah& scotia1. Needless to say all were v friendly and free with their ganja, many spliffs did the rounds before the main group headed off to (grey area?) and I went for more wok2walk. It was great to meet you all!

Then I think it was 1e Hulp, which is fast becoming my new favourite c/s, brilliantly comfy smoking room and friendly cat Rizla who will sit on your coat if you leave it on a chair. He LOVES coats :D chatted to some americans in there and then got into a massive convo about life, the universe & everything with this iranian (?) bloke who had been living in dam for 3 years running a clothing shop called ‘Vintage’. After this it was Bushdoctors, there was a 20yo english bloke working there who apparently just handed in his cv and they called him back 2hrs later, lucky break:D he was happy to split a 2g bag of sleestack, a decent mild filler skunk (just what i asked for). and half a gram of grandaddy kush hash of course. More smoking, more coffeeshops, bed.

Saturday was the final day.. went to the green place first, sat out the front and watched the tourists pass, one of the guides drew attention to me rolling and I gave the group a demo of how to skin up.. then I took a trip to the post office, which wasn’t open so I bought some stamps at AH. Then down to club media for more of their excellent caramello, 8.50e- some of the strongest hash I smoked this time. Breakfast at the pancake carousel then up to voyagers. Found staggerlee there and got the full story about the no-show yesterday, it was his first day and he got completely baked and had to go to bed:D hope the gig was good man. Spent a long time shooting the breeze in here then out for a final crawl, hill street blues for shakes & toastie, 420 to sit in the window and smoke up the last of the stash.

I had a brilliant time made all the more brilliant by the voyagers crew, gapie and a bunch of awesome acd-ers, sorry 2 anyone i didn’t mention, aiming to get back before the end of the year.. latest news on the ground is the haarlem mayor has come out in opposition against the wietpas so fingers crossed for that >.<

Smoke Report:

Voyagers
Kushberry- 15e/g Medium-strong, fruity, not very pronounced kush taste. Nice smoke dunno about 15e though.
Exodus Kush- 13.50e/g- very nice strong kush.
Rabat- 9e/g hash- review to come!

The Green Place
Blue Cheese- 10e/g- Very nice for the price. Sweet & cheesy. Recommended.
Lemon OG- 12e- Very lemony, nice energising sativa high. Doesn’t taste very kushy but v nice.
Zero Zero hash- 10/e- awesome pure crystaly maroc hash. I thought this was better than their twizla which is a few euros more

Dampkring
Waterworks- 60e/g- this was almost liquid. Very soft. Often it is hard in consistency. verrrry very strong high.

Grey Area
OG18- 15e/e?- good strong kush, not as strong as voyagers on my previous visit
Kaligria- 13.50e/g?- meh.

De Graal
Jamaican- 5e/g- nice if you like that sort of thing. I mix this with tabac for hash spliffs. Not harsh and dry like this can be. Also got someof this from sheeba which was pretty much the same.
Boca- 15e/g- high grade dark maroc.. softens in the hands.. spicy and dreamy trippy high, strong.
Blue Cheese- 12e/g?- not as good as green place’s, a bit fresh.

Club Media
Caramello- 8.50e/g- YUM. sweet and strong euphoric high. Best hash of trip!

1e Hulp
G13- <<13.50e?>>correction 12e/g- Yum, taste like super silver haze good sativa high

Bushdoctor
Sleestack- 25e 2g?- mid-range inoffensive skunk.
Grandaddy kush melt hash- 55e/g- the crack of ice hash. Very strong, one of my faves.

A few hash pics to come possibly.. :D

Thanks for the report puffpuff. Your smokelist gave me some good pointers on my recent trip. Went to 1ehulp a few times as well. The back upstairs smoking room is great fun when in a group and the front area is very sociable and bright when alone. Didn't check out the lower pool area as the ceiling looked a bit low (treetop remember).

In particular I remember the Angeldust being a really nice smoke over there although they have a pretty fine menu all round. They had powerplant on the menu for 5eu as well although were out when we tried to buy some.
How much did you produce?
