Amsterdam postal service?

Post by Pete Kane »

I am going to Amsterdam next week and will most likely send a few souviners home to UK via post, because I won't have much room in my hand luggage...

...I have been scouring the internet and it seems that all the post offices have closed?

Can anyone who has been very recently tell me where I would take my parcel to be weighed and stamped? Or where to buy the stamps?

...I would like to post it in a post box myself if that is possible?

Thanks for any info guys!

Pete. :?

Thanks for the link, I see that there is a TNT office not far from Centraal Station...

...So is this my only option or are there other places I could weigh a parcel and get stamps/priorty stickers?

He means post office.

There are quite a few locations around town. Does that answer your question, or do you need to know where they all are?

Cause I don't know 'em all.

You can buy stamps at AH.

What's AH?

Albert Heijn.

What's Albert Heijn?

The main chain grocery in Amsterdam.

Plenty places sell stamps! Most of the small shops you see selling postcards will have the stamps your needing. If your posting weed back then 3 one euro stamps per jiffy bag and post boxes are situated everywhere round Amsterdam
