Best Sativa's right now?

Post by Pete Kane »

Hi guys, been looking on your forum for a while and I signed up over the weekend. I am from the UK.

I am returning to Amsterdam in 6 days! I am going with my girlfriend and staying 10 mins tram ride from RDL.

What I would like to ask you, if any of you have been to Dam or live in Dam in the past few weeks.... What are the best Sativa's you've come across?

I know that there are a few recent 'Travelogues' with a couple of Sativa's mentioned, and I have noted them down, but, I just thought I would ask if anyone else can throw a few good ones out there for this weekend :) - I think we will have mainly Sativa's as I don't want to be 'knocked out stoned' all day!

Cheers guys,

Pete.

I went to Utopia last week hoping to try the Champagne Haze, but it wasn't on the menu. I bought the Amnesia instead, which I was a bit disappointed with if I'm honest. The Quaze I bought round the corner at Grey Area was much nicer, though more expensive at 15 euros a gram

 brilliant smoke for that price.

Fingers crossed for my return in Febuary (and the demolition of the weed pass of course)

Actually, Nel .. whats your thoughts on the weedpass? I know its up in the air but would be intrugued to hear your informed opinion?

Nooo! The champagne is gone??

:( That was on my 'to smoke' list that I have been gathering from people's thoughts on our forum.

I don't want to just ask the budtenders 'Whats ya best sativa mate?' because I will look like a noob with my girlfriend in tow... Then again I will probably be circling Green Place/Voyagers/Utopia as they seem the top CS's, so perhaps I will get to know the staff a little.

I am getting excited now, the return to Dam is in 3 days and 3 nights!

Peace!

Ask! If the BT is any good it will be worth it and not noobish at all! Strains only go so far, you don't know about the grower (recent discussions here about Seeds and quality control in general), how the wiet is cured or even if it's hydro vs. greenhouse. I for one don't like dutch greenhouse Sativas: season's too short and there is just not enough sun for a plant originating in much lower latitudes.

I usually ask for 2 recommendations and then look / smell to pick...

You will feel like a noob if you get something terrible because you didn't inquire...

^^Smart!

And always remember to ask if you can touch before reaching in the tub when it's raised to your nose for a whiff.
