been a while since i was last in the dam, booking a trip soon, need to know if there are any 24hour coffeeshops around?

All close at 1am, if I'm not mistaken.

They must close by 01:00. Some close a lot earlier, Paradox for example at 20:00.

cheers guys didn't know that they all shut by 1pm. I'm planning a trip 2nd weekend of October I think it'll be a day trip though. any recommendations of which shops I should do?

I agree with you Colino, everyone have some different choices but I think mostly coffee shops are closed nearly 1 am to 2 am. Utopia and Voyagers are good shops.

There only licenced to sell untill 1am! i do hear barneys is gona be open 24 hours during the cup but i have to see it to beleive it personaly,KD.

I've wondered what happens at Barneys when 24 hrs... is it the coffeeshop or the Uptown across the street?

Uptown will be open 24 hours during the cup, the coffeeshop still closes at 1:00.

Could anyone recommend any 24hour smoker friendly bars? or failing that any smoker firiendly bars that are open late? (6am-ish) outside of the cup.. I usually always plot up at nes for smokes+beers but they shut at 1am weekdays and 3am weekends

Nachtbar San Francsco on Zeedijk, sometimes open past 4. Not sure of their smoking policy these days. Great place to pick up a working girl or lady boy on their way home or anything else you may need.

Or night clubs which are open until 6. Sometimes Studio 80 or Trouw.

BTW, be careful in and around San Francisco

Night cafes usually close at 3 am Sunday - Thursday and stay open until 4 at the weekend. The directory has most of the smoker friendly cafes listed. And there is a thread listing smoker friendly bars here. Amsterdam is not a 24 hour city as some may think, even the shops close up around 6!
