Hempwicks

Post by geekymonkey »

Just "discovered" these this weekend. No more huffing butane!

They smell and taste amazing, just light the little cord and then use that to light your bowl.

So cool! Can't believe I just learned about them.

Also curious if anyone has tried any other brands? Apparently there are some made up in Humbolt.

I swear I can feel a difference in my lungs already, plus nice to be able to put the lighters away and just burn a candle.

I have a big roll of i-tal hempwick, bought it for $30. My last one lasted me more then a year so that in itself makes it more then worth it to me! I have a small package from a different company but the wick is thinner so it burns faster~ i-Tal is the best! great stuff!

Anyone from U.S coming to CC able to bring me a roll of this? I just checked an online site that sells the wide ones for £18 a roll but they want over a tenner for postage, which is a joke as the company is registered in the UK. Alternatively is it possible to buy this from any shops in Dam?

Smirks - Ebay is your friend :-)

I got a 9ft pack to try out with my budbomb, and I'm definately a new fan. My only one reservation is that the wick is a little thin, which can make it a bit tricky to keep alight and it burns quick. Haven't had to use it outdoors yet, which may well provide further problems. BUT all in all, I likey.

Smirks- try posting on the trip thread, I suspect people won't see the request over here. If I were coming I would totally bring you some.

I ran out of the small pack my brother got me yesterday afternoon, lit one bowl with my lighter, and walked directly to the headshop to buy the big roll. Now I have enough to last me into next year.

ell- I suspect they will be tricky outdoors, but then I usually smoke joints, which at least I'm not continuously lighting. There are some folks in Humboldt making wicks that they also do in an extra-thick. I'll let you know if I try them.

Seriously, my party people, I do not joke around about such things. This is a vastly superior way to light your bowl. :)

Hemp wicks are great for smoking bongs.

I noticed DNA Genetics shop in Amsterdam is now selling them. Couldn't find them here for a long time!

Thanks for all the great info!

I will say that I didn't pay much attention when I picked up the roll and got thinner wick. The thicker wicks are a little more user friendly for those of us who like big fat bowls, but if you get the thin ones (like a stoned little monkey), just light a wider section of the wick at a time.
