it is funny to me that we worry about the butane, when there are loads of carcinogens in burning plant matter.

If you were really concerned about your health, you'd be vaping, not using a hempwick to combust paper and plant matter.

ps: I prefer matches
You're just wrong, on an atomic level, about gas burning completely. I've actually done an experiment in an organic chemistry class. Science is fun y'all.

Just because plant matter is carcinogenic doesn't mean inhaling petro chemical is not bad/worse. By your logic we're all going to die anyway... which is true but does not make all high-risk behaviors equivalent. My reasons for changing had more to do with flavor and a genuine preference on the part of my lungs.

So, to be perfectly honest, I do not get the same kind of pain control from vaping as from smoking. I think it's because there is a lot of medicinal value in the rest of the plant matter. (Or you can never really get all the CBDs from vaping because they have a higher vaporization point?) But, at any rate, vaping is lovely for recreation, but completely fails me for pain control. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, I'm happy to take pointers.
Because life is too short to smoke bad bud.

Please just think about this for a moment.

The amount of unburned butane that will get past the flame is miniscule. Yes, it's probably there, but it's a small, almost negligible amount. However, cannabis smoke contains LOADS of carcinogens (any burned plant matter does). To say your lungs can tell the difference between a tiny bit of unburned butane when inundated with smoke filled with carcinogens, well I have to say it's placebo effect.

Curious which vaporizers you have tried, and the temperature settings. I have found that on lower settings, its all in the head (CBD's not getting vaporized, just THC) but if you turn the temps up to just below the point of combustion, you'll get most of those CBDs. The other option is to make edibles with the vape duff... Eat a cookie, and while you're waiting for the CBD's to hit, you can take some pulls from the vape to get you started. Not only will that be healthier, but your weed will go further.
