Thanks for the report, shame there has been no cru for you. Wouldn't mind a bit of that Boca right now.

Lazy-ass Amsterdam day. Rained pretty much all day. Walked around in the cold rain for a while until we went to Utopia at 4pm to see off spireax. Yes, Francois was there, but had apparently glommed onto another group that he looks more a part of. He left with them when they left. :)

Much thanks to spireax for bringing his share of the fun we've had the past few days. 8)

Having rum and cokes met lime, listening to the pishdrops, smoking honey maroc, deciding to get back to de Graal tonight to get more Boca and try some of the Mexican hash.
While in the area, another stop at Media, of course.

Bought a nice 1.6g nugget of Exodus Cheese earlier at Utopia. Cheesy.

True! But you need to actually leave the apartment to try and get in on the magic.

The mixed drinks continue, and now a fresh bowl of exodus cheese and boca, with James napping (should be me), and a TV that I can't seem to turn off via remote control. I'll be out the door by 11pm.

10:59pm - immediately board tram 10 at raamplein
11:11pm - rambling down F Bolstraat.
11:17pm - Champagne Haze secured from Club Media.
11:24pm - liberated Cream and Mexican hash, after Boca uitverkocht. hope they get more. was going to bnf, but c'mon, de graal is favored. free papers and tip book to boot.
11:40pm - sampling mini joint of champagne haze and mexican hash from the comfy seat upstairs, looking down the stairs and out the door. grooving to classic live zeppelin.
11:47pm - live deep purple
11:55pm - noticeably smoky, and door gets propped open just like upon arrival. i really like de graal. always have.
11:59pm - stoned at de graal
12:04am - last tram forsaken for a mango drink and another joint - champagne haze and cream hash. place is pleasantly busy. did i mention my undying love for de graal?
12:16am - mine joint still under construction. so far, no francois sighting :D
12:24am - music stops. budtender says 'computer is crashing...finally'. music invariably resumes.
12:28am - joint finally burns
12:35am - lights go on. you know...last call
12:42am - exit de graal

@Arsonist and geekymonkey - thanks for the birthday wishes.

Boca from de Graal is nice. Get some if you can. It was uitverkocht last night.

James woke up when I left last night, apparently when I closed the door leaving. Says he went out to Dolphins. He was up, watching South Park, and ripping bong hits when I returned. :)

James is apologizing for falling asleep last night...it should have been me, since it took forever to get up and out yesterday, and was still very tired. Enjoyed my solo run to de pijp, nothing against James.

Kinkermarkt today. Meh kinda markt, but if you're really bored...

Maybe a late breakfast at Cafe de Pels.

Have not run into any situations where I've been required to purchase a drink in any CS. Or, show my passport. Tender in Anyday wanted to see my ID, but only after I had indicated that I wanted to go upstairs. Showed him my driver's license, and he didn't even look closely at it. Just wants to make sure I'm identifiable in case of a police check, I imagine.

Thanks, that clears something up. Twice in Voyagers I've been asked for ID, but when I tried to show my passport, they didn't actually look at it; the last time I was told, 'Just as long as you've got it.' 'But what if I forget who I am?' 'You'll notice I didn't say anything about that,' replied the diplomatic budtender.

Stepped out late and made my way to Bluebird for a gram of Bluebird Special. Made way over to Utopia, where hasj, Gapie, and Francois were there. Had a joint and learned about the new Strawberry Cough sativa on the menu.
