Weather permitting, I've been thinking about renting a scooter for the day and taking a scenic ride to Haarlem.
The distance from station to station is about 20km/12.5mi/35-40 minutes by scooter. Scooter rentals vary between 20-35 Euro per day.
A possible add-on is Zandvoort, a seaside town which is located 10km/6.25mi/15-20 minutes from Haarlem.

This is the greatest idea ever. Let's get a convoy going. How much extra to rent the orange Vespa!

Orange Vespa? WTF?
Ok smart arse, after you or your personal assistant have a look, come back and tell the rests of us, k?

Here's another one for ya, possibly even better...
Visit all of the major parks and a couple of plantations as well.
All of the parks are outside the Grachtengordel (too far for some   ) with Amstel Park being the only park outside the city ring (just).
The distance covered is approximately 30km/18mi, give or take.

...and while I'm on a roll, a scooter or bicycle ride through the countryside, more specifically tulip fields.
The visuals are spectacular... need there be more?
Enjoy...

for in town stuff I'd rather stick to a bike. If I get tired I can always stop in one of the parks, plantations or coffee shops that may present themselves. For an out of town excursion a scooter would be fun. Had a little look about scooters. Nothing about Vespa's that I can see. USBL would know more about Orange Vespa's.

I've seen places offering 50cc scooters that go max 25kph for 40eu range per day. Not very appealing. Just a lazy persons bike.

You have been posted on the April Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

If you don't see yourself, click your refresh or reload button
Your browser sometimes loads pages from your local cache and
you don't get the latest update.

Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.

Set yourself up with your own T&T or Toke and Talk, where you pick the coffeeshop (your favorite)
and the date and time, I will post it and you wait for folks to show up, if they do you'll have a
T&T. If they don't you still get to enjoy your favorite coffeeshop!

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/membe ... le&u=76346

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

Any nice new menu pictures you can get will be much appreciated.
Always ask first, better told no than thrown out.
