Hey all,
Glad to be a part of your network!!!!
Been to Amsterdam about 6 or 7 times ( I think!!!) in last 10yr and decided rather than sit around with the family this year ( I have no partner or kids unlike all my friends) I'd get out and do something with my time off. . . Dam it is then!!
Every time I've been I've always stayed close to the RDL due to lazy stoners not wanting to move any further than the cake shop!! I'm more an adventurous person after a smoke and would like to see more of the outskirts of the city, if anyone knows any hidden gems in the backwaters of the city centre, doesn't have to be a bar or coffeeshop, even just places of interest, or anything that interested you would b greatly appreciated. i almost definately will have missed it previously. I take 4 busses and walk over 3mile gettiing to work and home evey day so a long trek isn't a problem I will post on a more specific board but any help would b good. I'm going to be there 23 - 27th of December so any advice on festivities or events would b amazing, looked all over the net but apart from Xmas markets and light shows can't really find much.
All the best
Ross

You have been posted on the December Whos In Town page.
You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

Your browser sometimes loads pages from your local cache and
you don't get the latest update.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.
By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.
You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

Hi!
I'm not sure if staying on the outskirts of the city is the best idea around chritmas time as I'm not sure the public transport will be running at full service. However, my other half and I once rented a houseboat out near the Hieineken Brewery and it was brilliant, far enough out from the RLD but everything is still withing walking distance. There's also some great coffeeshops out that way (Little, Mellow Yellow etc.) That area is know as De Pijp (pronounced as 'pipe') and I would highly recommed it, we've had two great holidays in that area.
