John Lennon
Anyone ever heard of it? Know anything about it?
Allegedly coming from up Humbolt way (CA). It smells like tire rubber with a hint of roses, tastes like gardenia and roses, has a really twisty strong head high with an equally strong body stone.
Way lekker. Pictures soon.

Living The Dream...
Re: John Lennon
I've been unable to find the article where I read about it, but I think it was from a website of a Cali collective or dispensary...
I didn't pay much attention to the details of the strain/type thinking that it was just another marketing ploy, which in all honesty it usually is...
Example - Add a little bit of Sour Lemon OG, toss in a hint of Cali Orange, and a wee bit of Mexican Haze - call it Schwarzenegger Haze.
http://en.seedfinder.eu/ 4339 varieties but no John Lennon, at least not yet.

I suspect it's a really banging pheno of something else, which was why I was curious- It is perhaps my favorite smoke ever. It's up on the list at the very least.Uncle Ron wrote: Reply with quote

John Lennon I

John Lennon II
(Clearly, "commercially" trimmed, alas- I bet it was pretty.)
It really smells strongly of tire rubber when it's ground up it's the strangest thing.

OMFG, what lovely looking buds... Now this is what I call bud porn...
It looks really delicate, but to think the flavor profile includes something harsh like tire rubber...
You might be spot on, a very special pheno indeed...
Care to send me some?

Re: John Lennon
The funny thing is that there is NO rubber flavor at all, just this overwhelming clean floral taste. (Like I said, roses and gardenia, but not sweet.) I think the rubber smell is an ultra-concentration of the rose terpenes. There's also a sort of citrus quality to the smell of the whole bud.Uncle Ron wrote:OMFG, what lovely looking buds... Sorry, I won't harsh a good system by smuggling legal bud. I will just continue to encourage people to move to places with reasonable tolerance policies, and say Cali flowers ROCK. (Even if they are all just different cuts of power plant.

The cream caramel I once grew smelled like tire rubber too. Didn't transfer to the taste.

interesting- that's a strain I find tempting every time I hear about it. How are you doing? Hope you're well and having a nice fall in Paris.Panog wrote:The cream caramel I once grew smelled like tire rubber too. Didn't transfer to the taste.
