Look I know this is not my conversation being over here in Yourup, but it's a small world these days. I agree diamond steve, theres still some mileage in this issue. But I'm sure everyone knows that. Also like everything here, law enforcement budgets are being cut and are being judged on outcomes and pot busts dont get no points; and points means wages.

Honestly I beleive the only tokers who are against legalization efforts are those who are scared their livlihood is in peril....Thats what all the doom and gloom from some folks are coming from...scared of losing the almighty dollar....

Wasn't trying to insult your intelligence. I've read things out of context before too, it happens to the best of us. And yes I did scour the internet to find an article that said the feds had made a statement and found nothing, so I concluded you had read something out of context.

If the Feds do anything, it will occur at the State level. The Governors of both States have met and continue to meet with the Feds.

The Federal Government cannot support a boots on the ground operation to arrest every person smoking cannabis. It's unsustainable, that's why the Feds use local LEO's for support. The local LEO's won't arrest/detain a person if they are not violating State law, so the Feds would have to do ALL the work - arrest and confine until arraignment.
As I stated, unsustainable.
