Click on the link I posted, on the left side click on either picture...
Someone is drinking a PBR? What, no Rocky Mountain Coors?

The "club" looks nice enough, too bad they charge a $29.99 cover, er... membership.
Reading some of the comments at the bottom of the link, there are a few to give some serious consideration, mainly DUI...

If I were invited, meaning no cover charge, I would be there like...yesterday. Not just because...., but also to observe the closeted stoner emerge from the darkness...

One step at a time...

Live and let live. There are going to be lots of ways people enjoy their cannabis. Who cares if hundreds of people want to get together to smoke weed and pay if they can afford it? It costs $3,000 for a person to take a trip to Amsterdam to smoke weed with friends....$30 doesn't sound too bad. How much do you fuckers pay to attend the cannibis cup?
It's not my cup of tea but...no whining please.

It's not my cup of tea either, I mean paying a cover for a BYOS (Bring Your Own Smoke), nah. As I stated, that's like paying to enter t'Nes or similar.
Fuckers? Oh boy, here we go again...

Right, the HTCC isn't my cup of tea either. What does this have to do with charging a cover for a BYOS ? Hate much on the HTCC? Suppose so...
If I were to visit Mokum during the HTCC, the cost would be $120 for a train ticket, $60ish for a bed, and wait for it.... free entry into any "smoker friendly" establishment.
It's not about live and let live, it's about afterwards... The reality hangover WILL be a bitch... food for thought.
Whining? Just stating my opinion, just like you.
So, if I'm whining and you want me to stop............you first.

iv heard a few bars/lounges charging $5-$10 for a year or 2 to smoke there(here in washington). it's to get around the statewide(and enforced) smoking ban(charging a fee and having members makes them a private club). but $30 fuck that!.
looking forward to real non byob (buy on sight) places to open. baring fed intervention of course.

looks like what is happening? federal intervention? we shall see. heard obama was going to see how things worked out and perhaps(due to pressure from multiple state governments) drop cannabis federally to schedule 2. i know multiple unofficial markets for cannabis have opened in the u district in seattle..out in the open. no federal or local arrests ...yet.

My post of the story lacked some detail... oh well
... thx NSFE
Nearly 6000 tax free dollars (not including tips) for the month of December for the house, not bad. Lest we forget, there aren't any laws (yet) regulating these establishments.
One months rent/lease, utilities, a few cases of soft drinks, a few cases of Scooby snacks (Goldfish and Cheetos), and a couple of peeps. Very low overhead.
Hmm, where have I seen this before? Oh right, a Rave.
Disclaimer:
These are my opinions, just opinions. Please don't petition the US Govt. to have my citizenship revoked, pretty please?

I'm not hating on people wanting to gather in a social setting, those feelings are reserved for the "special" stoner. A greedy stoner is a very ugly creature indeed.
Some say let people do what they want, unfortunately those very same will be asking (whining perhaps) "what happened?", when the good times end and reality is kicking the shit out of ALL OF US? Too many examples of the next day hangover to list... people willfully continue to ignore the lessons learned, all for the mighty $.
I will lead you to water and force your head under... your choice - drink the wisdom or drown in ignorance...
...for in the end I will look down upon the ignorant without remorse, nor regret.
