This is very good news, and it correlates with other items I have seen. I would love to hear from locals if this is truly what they understand will be the case in the new year.

So, to be absolutely certain...when we get back to Amsterdam on January 2nd from our 3-day Germany excursion, this old gringo should expect no problems walking into a shop and making a purchase? I was afraid that I would have to stock up and take my stash on the train to Germany, which from much research on the web is apparently not a very good idea, risk-averse guy that I am.
