Quest for Amsterdam's Diamonds Pt6 oct/nov12 Smoke Report

Post by pengaldinho »

Day 1

I landed at 8.30. My mate was on the overnight coach and due in at 9.30. Was at CS by 9 then off to:

Anyday – No rootang! (guy didn’t know when or if it would be back) Dr Grinspoon/E16.50 smelt like wet grass and the hairs looked white. Oxacan looked nice but smell was minimal.
Reserva X E14.50 – after getting an amazing sample of this at the start of the year each subsequent batch hasn’t scaled the heights. Nice but not worth the price.
Image
Image

Utopia – good service – had four tubs to look at. rolled half the Reserva as I waited for my friend.
1g OG 18 E13 – Chose this over the citronella which smelt lovely. Fairly similar to Voyagers Sky walker which isnt my cup of tea but still nice.
Image
Image

My mate text me saying ill meet you at voyagers in 15mins. I text back 'im already there!'

Voyagers
Image
1g LA Woman E13.50 – my nose picked this one out – buds were a bit wet and spliff didnt smoke perfectly. Would have been good if it was dry.
Image
1g Testing Tuesday: Neville’s Haze x Diesel E10 – steal at the price – fresh subtle flavour and floaty high. Should have got another g on the way out
Image
.5g Skywalker OG Kush – not my fav flavour, decent
Image
.5g Don Tangelo - cant remember
Image
Image

Hunters
1g Chemdawg E13.50 - ok
Image
Image

Utopia
.5g Citreronella – nice lemony smell transferred to taste. Very good.
.5g Utopia Haze – fairly generic haze smell, similar strong taste. Decent and good for the money.

HGF – no Diesel, chill with hot chocolate.

Pieminster
Image
Got a large Beef Mothership pie – yum yum yum. Chrispy shallots mmmmmm. When I got it I realised that they didn’t give me the mothership last time, just a normal pie.

Went to try and see some graffiti on the 26 at Zuiderzeeweg– but there was none there, so on to check in at ABBA then jump on the 3 to:

Papilion – paid E40.80 for 5g of top notch hasj, cant get much better. Free pack of futurolas.
Image
3g Golden Cream E10/per g – beautiful sweet creamy smoke and nice charged high. Would give a lot of things to have the old school mobile phone size slab that my 3g was cut from.
Image
Image
Image
Image
2g Gardella E9/per g – another nice piece of hashey goodness . Just smoking a bit now to help get the memories flowing back!
Image

Lootje – Velvet steak in butter - ill let the pictures do the talking.

De Graal

A smokers heaven: great menu, friendly service, good music (mostly) nice drinks and comfy seats. An older Frenchman (not the owner) spent a good 15min serving us, talking through the large menu(many more wiets than previously) and about the hashes – carefully removing every last 0.1cm2 of plastic from the beautiful bullets of Boca and Mexi. The pear juice for E1.75 is the best drink I have found in any shop. I could go on and on. Overall experience 11/10. Chilled and played a few hours of cards.
1g Boca E13 – so soft and fudgey! Full rich flavour and strong heavey eyed stone. Amazing!
Image
Image
Image
Image
1g Mexican E13- as soft as the Boca but with a much more uppy buzz high. Amazing!
Image
Image
Image
1g Ketema E10 – I asked for a recommendation of another hash – he said I had the two dark Marocc's and that this was the best light pollen, and that it was easier on the wallet. It was really tasty – not as nice as the other two but nice to have something a bit different.
Image
Image
1g Nycd E12 – Looks poor but smells great. Taste was good but not A+++. Still tasty smoke.
Image
Image
1g Super High Rise E13 –Sativa goodness! Just like last trip -Amazing!
Image
Image
Image
Image
1.5g Amnesia E10/g – best amnesia I smelt and the cheapest. My mate grabbed a half g on the way out because the diesel was sold out.
Image

Jumped on the tram back to Abba to watch Arsenal vs Reading

I loved having one spliff of SHR and one of the mexi going during the footie game – I just kept getting higher and higher – and the goals kept going in!

I love hash but occasionally have trouble with the amount of cig to put in. I sometimes also like a bit of rolling tobacco in my hash spliff – this trip I got some American spirit rolling tobacco- which has no chemicals to make it moist and i enjoyed it - all i could taste was hash.

Nice report once again. Perfect timing for me too! I am heading there tomorrow and I am on the hunt for the best hashes. This is an excellent starting point! Suck the Reserva X is not as good as before. I want some of the Boca and Mexi for sure. Where they the stickiest marocs you saw this time around? Also will be hitting Cafe Loetje for sure!! Oh and that pie looked epic as fuck.

Hi,
Great report with pics(one more) thanks.
I have two questions :

-what taste and smell have boca&mexican? Like morocan, ducht hash or something different?
- I've booked at Abba(double whith bathroom) for Xmas and i would like to know how is the hotel, breakfast and sensibility of fire alarm?
:
THank you

Gardela was good, didnt help with writing the report though :D . Think it opens at 10am.

They were by far the most pliable, and the cashmir from the same shop was the softest black. More pie porn to come from my trip to Wild Moa Pies. :)

1. Both Moroccan - boca more fresh and sweet/ mexi had a bit of spice.
2. Hotel is ok, quite basic but fine for smoking holiday. Breakfast is also basic- coffee/tea, bread, ham/cheese, cereal, boiled eggs. If you open the windows the fire alarm doesn't go off. Have a good trip. :D
