so im planning on going to amsterdam sometime in late july or early august.

im not going to be able to find out if im defiantly going until march...and if i am going i will be flyign to london first. if i only by the tickets that short in advance how expensive do you think they will be from Logan Airport (BOS).

second question is from London to Amsterdam...how much are the train tickets...and how long is the ride? (or is it just cheaper take a plane to Schipol (sp?))

if your wondering why this plan is so weird is because if my friend gets into a semester abroad in london im going to go there and visit then take a train to amsterdam for 2 or 3 days.

ThatGuy

so any help would be cool.

jet2.com seems to be the one with the real cheap tickets. like 45gbp round trip anywhere in UK to Schipol. That's cheaper than train or ferry. =P Though skyscanner.net seems be better at searching for jet2 flights than jet2.com =P

For cheap flights around Europe check out www.skyscaner.net

As a general rule, the earlier you book the cheaper the flight. I've got flights for next month that cost me less than E50 return. Its definitely not worth taking the train when its so quick and cheap to fly.

Unless you're an environmentalist. =P Short haul flights are the 9th biggest cause of ozone depletion.

Why are short haul worse than long haul?

BTW just wait until China is rolling 100 percent re: ozone depletion..... :-(

They occur far more often. You burn exponentially more fuel ascending than coasting.
