Amsterdam Coffeeshop Directory Forums

Hello everyone! Found this great forum and had to join. Ill bevtaking my trip of any kind from april 20th to may 5th. Supposed to leave the 5th but may stay the extra day. Since I am going alone I dont have muchb planned besides a few coffeeshops ive looked up. Ill be staying at the flying pig downtown and uptown hostels. Any suggestions for things to do, places to eat for breafast lunch and dinner, daytrips etc would be more than greatly appreciated. Im down to do some meetups with fellow board members. Looking tobtake in the culture and party! Anyone do the pub crawls? Im 24 male from the states. Anyone exchage at lorentz?

Yer going to have a great time at 4/20 week, plenty of ACDers in town, enjoy and welcome!

Where to eat :

- Broodje Bert , italian sandwich place . Clean place
- Pizzeria Doria , italian place , cheap imo for good product
- Cafe Loetje , great steaks , ive heard "The best" , but idk about that lol
- Coffeeshop utopia , there is a pizzeria next door , you can order there and let ur pizza be delivered into the coffeeshop .
- Mcdonalds and any other "big chain"junkfood .
- Burger Bar
- Bakerys , we do loads of sweetness check it out

Don't eat :

- Random kebab places . They often swerve with bacteria .

DO 's :

- Amsterdam Dungeon ... creepy live act where u get taken trough the undergrounds of amsterdam's history . Smoke atleast 3 joints before going in , cause it's about a good 90 minutes...
- Red Light District ... im not saying you should go inside, but its worth checking out . Ranges from ugly trolls to models .
- Go OUTSIDE the center . All of amsterdam's unique shops ( stores AND coffeeshops ) are outside of the center ,
"De pijp"area is worth checking out , so is "De Jordaan".

Thanks guys! im definitely going to check out a few of the museums around the place. The van gogh is supposed to open back up around the time I'm their. Any of you guys familiar with Excalibur bar or any of the clubs/venues around town? Looking for some cool hard rock/metal and dubstep places to hear this kind of music on my travels.

It's been awhile since I've been on here and I never got to take that trip I had planned early this year due to some emergencies, but I am back at again. Hope to be more active on the forum this time around and get to know everyone.Have a trip to the Dam finally in early June 2014. No dates set in stone yet.

Don'ts ... Smoke on street or in public unless your sure not to be seen or smelt same with alcohol in cans or bottles ... Don't piss in canals ... < you see lot of that during kings day
No need to do the same... Leave your attitude at home your not in you home country nor owned the Dutch country<< you may see lots of ppl like that thinking they can do what the fuck they want!!! Don't try to screw a window hoe by not paying for your little 10 seconds she'll give ya avoid blue light unless you like trannies or guys don't walk where bike roll.. Watch out for trams cause they hurt be polite to the police do not fear them they unlike cop in other countries ...
