Hello everyone! Found this great forum and had to join. Ill be taking my trip of any kind from April 20th to may 5th. Supposed to leave the 5th but may stay the extra day. Since I am going alone I don't have much planned besides a few coffee shops I've looked up. Ill be staying at the flying pig downtown and uptown hostels. Any suggestions for things to do, places to eat for breakfast lunch and dinner, day trips etc would be more than greatly appreciated. I'm down to do some meetups with fellow board members. Looking to take in the culture and party! Anyone do the pub crawls? I'm 24 male from the states. Anyone exchange at Lorentz?

Welcome to the forum.

You have been posted on the April and May Whos In Town pages.
Good timing, you can catch 420 and Queensday.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

If you don't see yourself, click your refresh or reload button
Your browser sometimes loads pages from your local cache and
you don't get the latest update.

Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.

Set yourself up with your own T&T or Toke and Talk, where you pick the coffeeshop (your favorite)
and the date and time, I will post it and you wait for folks to show up, if they do you'll have a
T&T. If they don't you still get to enjoy your favorite coffeeshop!

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/membe ... le&u=84145

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

You will be in town long enough to get in a day trip to Haarlem.
It is a fun little town with a very nice coffeeshop scene.
BONUS, Cannalympics 2013 will be going on in Haarlem.

You didn't say, but just in case.

First timers get my S G Collins recommendation
I think a read of this will maximize your efficiency once you get there.

How not to get hit by a bike and other stuff they forgot to tell you about Amsterdam.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

What's everyone do usually for 420 and queensday/night? I've seen videos for queensday and it looks like one big party on the streets and canal boats. What are some hotspots for everyone? How do you get on one of those boats drinking with everyone? anyplace to find plans for queensnight? Also, what goes on for 420?

Ill probably just show up to a few of thw ones everyone else makes. Never been so I dont really have a personal opinion on a spot. Dont really know how to get around either so maybe setting one up would be good to get some tips from other acd members that know their way around the dam. April 21st at 1:00 at barneys. Place seems good and fairly close to my hostel.
