1st trip to the Dam....advice welcome!

Post by DjHOj »

Hello all,

I will be making my first trip to Amsterdam this weekend and I could not be more excited. I get in early Friday and leave Monday morning. 4 of us going - 2 rookies and 2 have been once before about 10 years ago. Staying at Renaissance Marriott.

Been reading all over this site for suggestions on best shops to visit. I am not a super heavy smoker so I imagine all the weed will be pretty amazing but I am interested in places with the best ambiance. Suggestions are welcome. From reading reviews I am interested in checking out: Grey Area, Rokerji, Voyager, bluebird, Katsu, 420, Green Palace, and Paradox among a few others. Am I missing any good one? Suggestions?

Also - interested in learning more about the talk & tokes? No clue what these were before I found this site. Can someone explain how these work?

Next question is obviously the weed I must try. I will have the list of Cannabis Cup winners with me and plan on trying them all but suggestions from the veterans are appreciated.

I knew I just threw a lot out there but as you can imagine I am insanely excited for this trip. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Much love to all,

Welcome to the forum.

You have been posted on the December Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

If you don't see yourself, click your refresh or reload button
Your browser sometimes loads pages from your local cache and
you don't get the latest update.

Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.

Set yourself up with your own T&T or Toke and Talk, where you pick the coffeeshop (your favorite)
and the date and time, I will post it and you wait for folks to show up, if they do you'll have a
T&T. If they don't you still get to enjoy your favorite coffeeshop!
It's a meet and greet Amsterdam style.

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/membe ... le&u=84288

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

Enjoy

Greenhouse's and barneys's are usually on my check list, easiest ones to find are along harlemmerstraat (spell check??) katzu and de graal but the later two are slightly further out of centrum, definitely worth a visit. If your not much of a toker than just take the first joint or two easy and go from there, don't be another coffeeshop casualty by trying to man up and then collapsing. Oh yeah wear good shoes, usually a lot of walking round in circles to do :D
Always trade fairly!!!

If you can make it to this T&T and Gapie is there, https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/viewt ... 11&t=22389 you wont go far wrong for the weekend. Actually with Gapie putting the joints together you probably wont go far period :D :D :D.

Blue skies :D
What a long strange trip it is.

Hello DjHOj and welcome to the forum.
To make a T&T all you do is pick a coffeeshop, pick a day and time....and then simply post it in the 'Travel Plans' section. FBN will spot the posting and put it on his Who's In Town page. Then the hard part is remembering to show up....    8)
Enjoy.
If I don't see you no more in this world, I'll meet you on the next one.
