Buy a cheapo Bong or not

Post by purplesmurf »

Hey guys,

So I'll be making my second trip to Amsterdam from Jan 9th-Jan 13th. So here is my question. I don't know about the rest of you but I seem to go through phases i.e. smoke primarily joints for a few months then switch to bowls or bongs for a few months etc. Last time I went, I was in the middle of one of my joint phases so I didn't worry about getting a bong or bowl and just bought a really cheap grinder that I binned at the end of my trip. Currently, I am in the middle of a bong phase so I am debating whether or not I should just buy a cheap acrylic bong. I've never used an acrylic bong before as my roomate's bong, the bong we use most of the time, is a glass ROOR. What is your guys opinion on the situation. Should I buy a cheapo bong to use for a few days and then bin or not and just stick with my stuff for rolling and maybe a cheap glass bowl. Freaking pumped to go back.

Regards,

Purple

I was considering it but I'd be afraid with my running around the city and partying with it that I would break it. Plus from what I have seen from some of the headshops in the area online stores, I can get a cheap acrylic one for like 15-20e, only marginally more than the 10e/day it costs to rent.

If you rent a RooR you get a Bag with it for carrying.

I own several RooR's and can vouch that when I take them to the Dam (every trip, I prefer bong's to joints as I don't smoke tobacco) the bag (if it's the same one as the one they sell) keeps it very safe. It has seperate compartments for the Diffuser, Carbon Filter Adaptor (if you have one), bowls, spare slots and also a lighter/gauze holder all very well padded and sealed. Can also hold your Grinder pretty easily.

Although, if you want to buy a cheap one. DONT go acrylic :( Some Coffeeshops such as 1e Hulp sell respectable Glass Pieces for 15e-25e. Worth it for the 5e.

Personally tho, i'd take the RooR option (slightly bias tho  ) but its all down to personal preference.

Have fun!

Lots of coffee shops can supply you with good quality glass bongs (e.g. 420 has RooR).

Xeno I'll def check that out, if at all possible I would much prefer glass and a 5e diff doesn't matter too much to me. First though, I will def have to check out the free option. Had no idea many places had ones you could use. Thanks for the heads up on that guys :D.. already way to excited for this trip :D hopefully see some of you there!

No need to buy a bong or rent a Roor. Most of the shops in the Centrum have a glass bong for use. And more than likely it will be a Roor.
