Well, another visit to Amsterdam is over. Shitty feeling to know there are another 12 months before my feet hit Dutch cobblestone again.

Don't really feel like a long detailed report, just a couple observations:

1) The "big" coffeeshops leave a lot to be desired. I had much better gear and much better service in the "smaller" shops.

2) The Voyagers / Batavia boogie is a great way to spend winter nights. Get the table by the window in the smoking lounge, eat nachos, drink beer, have a smoke and enjoy the view.

3) Weed prices in many coffeeshops are way too inflated. See #1.

4) Holy shit, the Eye cinema over on the Ij is amazing! If you're not checking the listings, you're missing out.

5) De Pijp is a great place to spend time. Club Media is the best shop in the city, in every way, IMO. Do not buy and fly, go in and soak it up.

6) Dutch artists like FAKE, Laser 3.14, and Handiedan are very accessible and great people. Check them out!

The Handiedan you pictured is actually an awesome collaboration with another great Amsterdam based artist(s) The London Police. Their work is killer.

Here is a pic of a solo Handiedan, not street art like the others, but a great artist and lovely woman! (took her to voyagers and Batavia!)
