She was far from being my lady. She deftly put off an expat musician who somehow glommed onto our expedition. Her own woman to be sure, no doubt.

In fact I offered to put her in a taxi and pay for it, but she graciously declined. She said she wanted to walk it herself.

That was a fun evening. Can't remember her name...

In 1997 at the end of our first trip we wanted one last smoke before we left for the airport. we got a gram and watched Amy, Jamie, Ari, and Russ hook up together at the Grasshopper, always wondered what happened to that group of young people. Heeeeyyyy. Sorry if this thread has been made before, but i am going to amsterdam for the 3rd time this friday.
And i just wanted to know if you guys know any coffeshops that has alot of girls in there? Last time we went to Prix D'Ami and thats the best place so far to meet some chicks. Any suggestions?

What a top class post! Good idea for a thread. The 'chicks' might want to have their say as turnabout is fair play.

I'd look at coffeeshops around the Leidsplein and Rembrandt square areas. They generally have the younger partying crowd that will tend to be more open minded about meeting new people.

However the absolute number one place I've seen is Dampkring. Chock full of tourists smoking weed including some very exotic and unusual places. I got chatting with a lady from Korea without really looking at her. Anyway she enjoyed practicing her English and as we spoke I realized she was extremely attractive. The same thing happened there with a lady from Italy and another from Spain. This also happened in Barney's Uptown where I got chatting with a group of very attractive ladies from the USA. They were new to the town and wanted to try some weed. I obliged. We shared our time together there and went our separate ways.

You see it was never about hooking up..... but it could have been.


ps - be prepared for mixed results as people in places like Dampkring, Grasshopper, Bulldog are often inexperienced smokers and should be approached cautiously. You'd never want to bust someones high by intruding at an inopportune time. Normally it is easy to tell if someone wants to chat.

pps - watch out for hustlers.

I was in abraxas II (the smaller one on Spui)last August and saw a group of 5 Spanish girls come in, think they sat upstairs, it look cosy up there, you could get chatting, maybe share some papers... Lots of girls came for the brownies.

Was happily sitting at the bar as a lone taking lady, chatting to the lady bud tender. That was a great afternoon, time flies
