considering a one man trip to dam. opinions/advice please?

been to the dam twice before, would say i know my way around, have developed the knowledge of where to go, and where to deffinatly not go. been thinking how it may be refreshing to take a trip on my own as the highlight of one of my trips was going out before all my mates were up and smoking some vanilla in popeyes (dont judge me) one bright august morning. just wondering if anyones been on the own before, and they found it sudenly got boring or lonely? id own go for maximum 2 nights, rekon id enjoy it but i hate the idea of being stoned out my nut and alone with my thoughts. if anyone has ANYTHING theyd like to share, please do

I go solo. One thing I do is try and make sure that there is a TnT of some kind every day of my visit. That way there is always the choice of being social. Myself I'll make a TnT. Can't go wrong that way.

You'll have a great time. I've been to Amsterdam 9 times and 5 of those times were alone.
It's easy to make friends, you have freedom to do whatever you want and smoke whenever you want

For me, the Dam is a city I would only ever consider travelling solo to. I like the experience of getting stoned alone caught up in my own thoughts while listening to music on good sound systems in comfortable and cosy surroundings or simply watching the world go by having grabbed a window seat.

I also enjoy watching the football stoned over a snack at the bar. I have the option of chatting to fellow stoners if I feel like it. As a solo traveller, I personally think that Utopia and Katsu are particularly good CSs to chill out in with interesting art work to look at in the former, and a variety of oddities to mull over in the latter. I would definetely recommend spending a few hours chilling out in both during the day.

My favourite weekend evening hang-out is the Greehouse Effect DJ bar on Warmonstraat situated next door to the coffee shop of the same name. Here you can smoke weed and hash to your hearts content while enjoying a beer. It's good to get a position sitting at the old style wooden bar where conversation is sure to ensue.

and thats why I love solo trips! a lot of my friends dont get it.. im sure they think i go out their on my own to do weird shit haha.

Im not the most forward person, shy if you like. I always find people to talk to though. I was worried about being bored but I am quite happy to be alone with my thoughts so no biggie for me if i dont meet people.

I'd try talking to solo travellers or small groups. I always feel like a tag along in bigger groups who all know each other

Gotta agree with everyone else. If you are going somewhere alone Amsterdam is the place. Stoners are friendly, whole place feels safe and on a sunny day sitting in a CS window watching the world go by feels so bohemian.

Last time I was there I just wondered aimlessly like forever. If I'd been with people they would have got so pissed off.
