Was a bit apprehensive about writing one as I lack some of the knowledge and canna-wisdom that others are lucky to poses. But then I remembered that this is less about smoking weed and more about sharing experiences with strangers that share a mutual love of foreign city. (damn, thats deep; and I aint even stoned! )

We did actually visit the sex museum, and I won't lie, it did make me smile. Reading back, there is so much I forgot to add. But I guess you get the picture.

Sex shows-- they are kind of pathetic. the mate and I went to cassia rosso a number of years ago
it was robotic not sexy and the big batman could not get it up, no matter how hard he tried - we felt sorry for him
as he hid behind his cape desperately trying to coax his limp rod into action
that one for sure, is little more than a tourist trap

it was just one after the other of couples copulating with little interest. dirty dingy place
they give you cheap cheap tasting wine.

Reminds me of my current trips with my gf now.

I take it easy in the day and party in the night, and always have an afternoon nap!

FINAL DAY – 3rd December 2012
We wake up feeling a little bit groggy and sad knowing that it’s the last day. I look out the window and it’s SNOWING! Shit. Not wanting to venture to far in this weather, we decide to have breakfast on Nieuwmarkt. A huge pancake with apples and cinnamon for me and eggs on toast for the lady. We still had a few hours before the bikes had to be returned, so we braved the elements, and headed down to the flower market. We had a stroll around and purchased some tulip bulbs, and I couldn’t help think how much nicer it would be to visit in the summer. All my trips have been between December and March, and I have never been very lucky with the weather. From here we cycled back to the bike rental place, making a quick pit stop at what I think was Greenhouse Namaste for a hot chocolate a quick joint of last night’s Super Silver Haze and a hot chocolate. The shop was completely empty apart from a local who popped in for a buy&fly. But it was nice and warm, and had comfy seating.

Once the bikes had been returned, it was on to The Anne Frank House which was just around the corner. I couldn’t believe it but there wasn’t a queue outside. I have been passed several times and there have always been really long lines. Again, this was a really interesting experience. The atmosphere inside was strange, with everyone walking between the rooms in almost complete silence. I’m glad for the opportunity to have visited the museum, and I will most definitely be reading her diary very very soon.

There were a few things we still needed to do, presents to buy – Cheese and Chocolates for the family and some Dr Grinspoon for a friend. That meant a buy&fly from Amnesia. The friendly budtender told me that it was fresh just in assured me that this was a kick ass batch. He spent some time talking to us and explained to us why it cost 17euros a gram (long flowering time, difficult to grow well, and low yield apparently). I wanted to demolish the gram there and then, but we had stuff we needed to do. We quickly ate and headed back to the apartment for a tidy up and to pack. I couldn’t believe it was coming to an end. We had done so much but still felt like there was a load more to do.

With everything packed and in order, we still had an hour to kill. I fancied one last smoke, but everything we had left was sealed up ready to be sent home. So I decided to grab a pre-roll from Hill Street Blues on the Market. One pre-roll of the Hill Street Special and a space cake (which I always eat just before I get on the plane) for 9 euros (?) seemed like an ok deal. We walked round to grasshopper for one last beer and a smoke. The pre-roll tasted nasty, but I expected it to. Especially since we had been smoking pure up till then. But I didn’t want to get to mashed when we were about leave, and it actually had quite a nice effect – Stoney, but not over powering.

We sat for a moment to reflect on what a great weekend we had both had. In some ways I was worried about going with my Girlfriend as I thought we would want very different things, and that we might end up killing each other. But I think we got the balance just about right. We both agreed we would come back together as soon as possible, and next time, I can lead the way .
