I'd actually advise your pal to sample various sativa dominant strains, perhaps even pure sativa strains. Dr. Grinspoon at Barney's was extremely nice, however quite pricey at 18,00 € per gram. Pure sativa strains deliver a lucid high without impairing one's motoric abilities. The only problem with those strains in my opinion is that they may induce paranoia and perhaps even a panic attack in novice smokers. This can easily be avoided by smoking very slowly.

Edit: I just read your recent post about your panic attack induced by the consumption of White Widow. Remember, a panic attack is mainly a mental matter and may be induced even by very moderate intoxications; however, as long as you bear in mind that THC itself can't do you any harm - at least according to recent scientific research - you should be able to prevent any panic attack.

Never buy drug off a street dealer
Once you walked in the shop and at the counter when guy (budtender) will ask what he can help ya with...Tell him...Hi i looking for something that wont give me a bad feeling or bad trip..something mellow ..he/ll fix ya up whit something no too strong..also GET A DRINK!! Chocolat milk is a good one if you get an attack just drink it also dont forget to eat before smoking ..have fun be save

That's some useful advice. Keep yourself hydrated at all times and always have some short-chained carbohydrates within your reach (e. g. dextrose).

Speaking of Mexico, I bought a big bag of weed in Guadalajara, Mexico a year ago for about 150 pesos (12 US dollars). I'm not sure of the exact quantity, but it looked like a quarter pound--yes, a quarter pound, not a quarter ounce. I got it from a friend of a friend (both live there). Not sure of the strain, since those matters are usually too abstract for me, but it was so much weed and good enough to get me high during my trip there. In fact, I had to give the rest away before I returned to the US, lest I risk carrying it back through US customs.

As for your trip to Amsterdam, I think you're overanalyzing this a bit, IMHO. Just try a little of both (low grade, then high grade) and then see what will make you guys happiest. In the end, I think the trip will be about what you guys do and who you meet. Again, that's just my humble opinion, different strokes for different folks.

By increasing your blood sugar (glucose) you'll experience a (albeit short) burst of energy. However, I have to disagree with Adamster on this particular topic - pure dextrose is resorbed more quickly by your gastroinstestinal system than the above-mentioned beverages.

Well, bear in mind that cannabinoids may alter your perception heavily and thus make it hard to precisely determine your real heart rate. It is however true that cannabinoids (THC in particular) may increase your heart rate and - in conjunction with severe panic - even induce tachycardia (therefore you may want to avoid beverages containing caffeine, as caffeine could perpetuate this phenomenon). This usually only is a problem, when you have specific cardiovascular diseases; then you probably shouldn't even consider consuming marihuana/hashish at all. My advice is to consume only very small amounts and make sure you enjoy the atmosphere and are relaxed - even prior to the consumption!

well. my dokter pulled me throu to a psy clinic and there i wenst for a consultation, and i have something like chronic panic attacks that got worse through the years. now i am on anti-anxiaty pills for over a month or two. and i have said to him what was his openion about the CBD in cannabis.... and he said that there is no reliable study about it. so he couldnt answere my question.

This medical condition makes it almost impossible to advise you properly.

Perhaps it'd be best to just try various strains, partly indica-dominant, partly sativa-dominant and see how you can handle the intoxication. However, if this is essentially a psychological problem, I suspect that even weak strains may induce a panic attack, because even those alter your perception and may therewith worsen your anxiety.
