One of ACD's favorite hangouts was handed a €1000 fine last week for permitting tobacco smoking, while we were in town.

I also discovered a popular smoker friendly bar on Leidseplein has been fined 3 times, and will suffer a weekend closure if caught again. Net result = tobacco moved (again) to the segregated smoking area, and cannabis has also been dispatched to the segregated area.

IOW no smoking in the main bar, of any kind.

For a few years it was OK to burn out in the bar, but tobacco was not permitted.
