best place to exchange the dollar to the euro

US dollars, use an ATM best rate, if you use only cash, banks, hotels, and store front money exchanges just watch the fees.

Ok i think i did the atm last time, just didnt know if i could do it at the airport

Be sure to let your bank know you will be using your ATM card in Amsterdam.
I have seen cards eaten by the machine for possible fraudulent transaction.
Better safe than sorry.

if you dont want to use your atm card, ( i would) imo the best rate is at Potts exchange on the Damrak near Dam square

Yes because that is a cash advance. If you have a debit card you can get decent rates withdrawing from the ATM. But check with your bank for any potentiaal fees. Potts on Damrak or Lorentz on Damstraat offer the best rates for exchanging currency.

Actually this: http://www.lorentzchange.com/AMS/ExchangeRatesAms2.php, is the best place to exchange cash in Amsterdam they give you slightly more Euros than Potts.

there are ATM at the baggage pickup, (if you have checkin) and alos in the arrivialplenty of ATM's
