im in the uk, first time i smoked weed i was lucky enough to smoke Jack Herer

Northern lights and so the love affair with Mary Jane started .....

Like most people from the UK have been saying; I started with Dirtbar (Really hard and had to be burned so you could crumble it) awful stuff. Then upgraded to Northern Lights and White Widow as a treat every now and again.

Some unknown hash in Wales circa 1977 , did nothing !

First in the Dam was Colombian Gold circa 1982 excellent - though I had scoffed a hash cake from Fancy Free before my friends arrived.

Used to get quite nice cambodian and mexican import, cambodian was quite spicy and the mexican used to be nice and creamy we used to say it tasted like bread and butter lol we also had something called "English", which was basically pretty mild stuff that didn't taste of owt. Then after that the first proper strains were AK47, White widow, white shark, northern, armageddon, and probably our favourite at the time, BIG BUD! Used to love it when the big bud came along! If you've tried a nice example of Critical Mass you'll know what I mean!

Now im no hardcore smoker, lucky to have a joint a week at the moment, but me and the mrs are going Dam in a couple of weeks so thought id see whats hot and whats not at the mo on this awesome site.

I was probably about thirteen when i had my first doobie with a couple of mates, it was white widow and smoked a couple of doobies on the roof of my old junior school!! Let me tell you now, me and my mates were mash up for the first time and it felt great!! The problem was, we were mash up, on a roof, and put it this way, we didnt use the stairs to get up there. we almost decided to sleep on the roof so we could attempt to get down in the morning when it had worn off. But we got down after a couple of hours, my parents would have killed me if i didnt come home. Havent been that stoned since i visited dam for queens day 2011!!

1986 somewhere in Germany, in the attic of my parent's house. My older brother's punk rocker friend brought over some hash and we smoked a little pipe. Suddenly I could feel the blood running through my veins and was deeply impressed by this tasty smoke. This hash had a very distinct, amost perfume-like smell, and I only got the same kind of hash only a couple of times ever again. After 1990 it seemed to have disappeared completely from the market. Only recently I bought some hash calld "Hiya" in Enschede, and this was definitely it. It may seem hard to believe that I remembered the smell for all these years, but it was a profound experience for me at that time, that helped me to open up more to myself. And I never forgot that smell. Other than that we had mostly Maroc in different levels of quality at the time. Some very good, some really crap. Like everywhere, I guess. Then the hydro weed revolution happened and my friend used to get his hands on some great stuff that smelled like cat pea. Some skunk I guess. It was much stronger than our usual maroccan hash. When I smoked it with people who had never had such good weed before, I usually got accused of lacing my weed with opium, lol. Ah the good old days

First hash I ever bought in Amsterdam was black maroc at Coffeeshop Balou. Total crap.

First weed in Amsterdam, Northern Lights from a shop I cannot remember. Instantly fell in love with Netherweed.

My first smoke was when I was 14- mexican brick weed and we didn't know to take the seeds out so I remember one popping when my friend smoked it out of a little metal pipe. I'm not sure I knew how to inhale and didn't really feel anything and didn't like the taste of smoke.

Then, in college it was friend of a friend-grown indoor from Vermont. No name attached, decent indica. That was the beginning of a beautiful thing.

In Amsterdam, it was Shiva from Rookies in 2003.

Living in So. Cal in the early 70's smoking Mexican weed. Took a couple of sessions before it hit me and when it did, holy shit, I was driving.
My buddies justed looked at me at started laughing. Good times.

First weed in Amsterdam... Double Bubble Gum sprinkled with Grey Crystals... super sweet and tasty combo with nice floaty euphoric head/body high.

I'm really suprised nobody's listed Big bud as their first smoke yet, it was a pretty common strain in Notts when I was first smokin about 9-10 years ago.

My first A'dam strain was Chocolope from Prix d'ami, really awful stuff, but my 2nd was a bit better, Hawaian Haze from Abraxas, still a tad disapointed I went GA and got Kuchi and Dog Kush... I now knew what the fuss was about!

High school, 2002. This guy give me 5 euros of something called "cioccolato".

Back home, sitting on the wc i smoked my first spliff rolled with a lot of fatigue since i was a rookie. after the first 3 tokes im gone all whitey staring my self reflected on the mirror for like 1 hour.

i get rid of that shit the same afternoon thinking "ill never smoke again". yep...


p.s. cioccolato mean chocolate in italian, and as you can imagine its the worst shitty soap bar that can exist on this planet. several years later i knew i smoked everything but hashish that day.
