A quick buy and fly from the original Kandinsky this morning. It looks like a nice place to stay and smoke in, maybe next time. I picked up a gram of the Blue Sahara an extremely fine example of a Polom for €8:50 a very nice clean smoke good hash at a good price. Also a gram of Manala Jungle Cream €10, umm smokey, I love this sort of black hash. back tomorrow one feels

This just my personal opinion, but Kandisky not proved to live up to expectations.
We visited it before closing, late in the evening, but not particularly late to be honest and there were no other customers besides us. I had a look on the fly at the bar and it semeed ok. Cofee machine was alteady turned off but we wanted to watch bud tender menu anyway... Good selection, both weed and hash, og, hase, cheese, nepal, moroccan...

Too stoned to remember esactly, but prices were about average and stuff fairly treated. We have bought super lemon haze, King Assan III and Trans-Himalayan / temple-balls (??? I dont know... in this way it was reporded on the menu...). Super lemon haze almost shit for us and King Assan III a souvenir for no-smoking tourists... Maybe just Nepal (trans-Himalayan or temple-balls??? I didnt understand it) was pretty good.

Checked out the small Kadinsky near Muntplein on Christmas Day. Friendly service, good chat with the BT. Picked up 2.5g of Azilla and 2.5g of Fatima's Hands. Both very nice smokes. Azilla a little rougher on the throat. Fatima's hands was a fave of my wife's. Azilla 8.5/10, Fatima's Hands 9/10. Small Kadinsky 9/10. Lovely, tucked away CS, has a small upstairs and is particularly nice if quiet and for a quick coffee and smoke stop off.

Could anyone tell me if they still offer the "Apple Maroc"? ...Tried it in september and was reasonably impressed... Slightly cheaper than the T.H. yet if you prefer your maroc, it's definitely worth a try.

This was one of my favorite shops, but on my last trip back in 2011, there were some changes. The most concerning was the new budtender, who was acting erratic and weird, having what I assume was an argument with his girlfriend and her parents. Yep, parents. First he was screaming on the phone, and then they came in as if they were meeting for dinner. He went on and on to them, gong back and forth between seeming very conciliatory and agitated. Right there, is a very serious buzzkill. THEN, he reaches over and snags OUR BURNING JOINT IN THE ASHTRAY and proceeds to take a few hefty pulls before we could really get our thoughts together to react!! Now, I'm there on vacation, and under any other circumstances, that would have gone very differently, but we just didn't want to make a real big deal about it other than to say WTF?? and take our leave.
But since we liked it so much in previous trips, I'm hoping that when we visit again in a few weeks, that dude will be gone and the place regains its old vibe. Anyone know the BT I'm talking about? Tall and thin with longer black hair, couldn't place his ethnicity, but definitely didn't scream typical dutch. Anyone know if he's still there?

I'd look at that situation differently. I'd give the guy a break and maybe stick around and see how it all plays out and then try and talk to the BT to check if everything is ok. BT's are human too (apparently  ) Sounds to me like the guy was involving you for a reason. Maybe he needed to talk to someone.

If the guy still acts like a dick after it has calmed down then by all means hit those straps.

However.. If he is any kind of decent guy he will remember your kindness next time. Nice to feel welcome at a coffee shop. A priceless feeling.

All IMHO of course.

I definitely see your point, and I am one who always tries to see the upside to situations and to be very understanding. In this instance, there was an aggressive quality to what he was doing-it was apparent that it was a big F-you to us.. Hard to put my finger on it, but we could both feel it. I've had bad days myself, but he just seemed unstable, like maybe we were just seeing the beginning of how crazy he could get. BUT, we will give the place another chance and if he's there and he's cool, then no harm done!

This is located very close to the place I usually stay at and as a result has become kind of an extension of my hotel. Talking about the one just off Spuistraat where the bookstores are. I come hear often, mainly to get my bearings on the way to or from the hotel. A nice place to get a grip on my stash and all the insanity before I get even crazier. Very chill and everyone keeps to themselves. The atmosphere is pretty low key and quiet with dark lighting and a somewhat minimalist, post-modern design or decor. Sometimes they quietly pipe through some jazz. Don't know if they still use this word but it seemed like a bit of a "yuppy" (or is it "yuppie" - the '80's was sooo long ago  ) hangout. There isn't a ton of room to stretch but if you do find a decent spot, it can be tempting to stay a long time. One of the coffeeshops to consider if you want the coffeeshop experience but you also want some privacy, no loud noise or 18 year old birthdays (not that there's anything wrong with that), etc. Of course I always buy a drink and some gear as well. Their hash seems to be the way to go. I got some Fatima's Hand last time. It's a smooth, relaxing Moroccan hash that was recommended by a local from another coffeeshop. The Trans Himilayan Hash is a special Nepalese treat! Their green is respectable; on past trips I had some decent crystal covered Bubblegum and some NYCDiesel. The budtenders have always been extremely helpful. They have some kind of video game machine which can be a lot of fun, unfortunately it is frequently on the fritz and doesn't always work. Despite its size it never feels crowded or claustrophobic. A nice place for a quiet respite and decent smoke before going out to really tear it up or just returning to my hotel for a breather.

I ventured into the Kadinsky just off nieuwendijk looking for some black hash not having had a great deal of luck else where, its always a safe bet for good hash here. A freind also wanted to get his hand on some so we purchased the Nepal Cream €10 a gram but used their offer to buy 5 grams and only pay for 4. Well €20 for 2.5 grams each is a deal and can not be disregarded lightly. They did have the Trans Hymalayan on the menu at €11.50 but just handing over my twenty seemed a hell of a lot easier at the time, plus I have tried that one before why not try something new? In and out that's us done here.

The hash was good, I honestly do not think its that different from the Trans except it does not taste so exquisite, it's still tasty do not get me wrong. Very pyable with just a bit of hand heat and has great putty like characteristics. It has a deep thoughtful effect on me, I can smoke a little of this and be happly in my own world for a few hours.

I think I will keep buying the Nepal cream from kadinskys over the Trans Hymalayan; but only because I always seemed to be lumbered with more change that I could ever need by this point already!!

Does anybody know if you have to buy all the same strain to qualify for the five gram deal, or can I do 3 of one and 2 of another getting one of the cheaper grams free for example?

Since I can get high quality bud back in Canada I decided to make this a hash trip and Kadinsky has lots of hash varieties. I bought a gram each of Apple Maroc, King Hassan and Fatima's Hand to find out which kind I'd like to buy on one of their five gram deals later. One hit of Fatima's Hand and I realized that I better smoke this hash only in my hotel room at the end of the day because I ended up completely sh*tfaced. King Hassan and Apple Maroc were both good but not nearly as devastating as Fatima. Even though this is my 6th trip to Adam and I know the place like the back of my hand I got so stoned I got really lost. I even tried buying a map at a hot dog stand but I was so stoned I couldn't tell which end was up. I'll be buying 5 grams of Fatima's Hand tomorrow.
