.... On a side note, my wife has serious back problems and sometimes sitting at The Doors on Singel is the best thing for you. It takes a minute to get adjusted to the straight up posture of the stadium like seating wood benches.

They have picnic benches outfront also. They have a 3 person couch like seating thing :?: if I remember correctlyin the corner in front of the window which actually is not to bad and bar seats. Not a bad shop overall.

My words about you are true Dra! You are the man buddy.

We had a place booked for may 2nd thru 17th and my our 11 year old english bulldog is getting a bit looney.
We are not sure if she is going to make it till then but if she does we would not feel good about leaving here for a couple weeks on her own.

... Post poned for now until she passes, surely then we will make an impromptu trip. I will be looking forward to your videos and posts surely to ease the pain ;p

I was just thinking back...

I always liked the seats at the now long gone T-Boat, a real coffeeshop ON A BOAT, which was located on Oude Schans. I remember sitting in the booth and watching the ducks swimming right outside the window.

Was there ever an ACD page for this shop?

Here's a look at the all but forgotten T-Boat from March of 1999 during my second visit to Amsterdam. We chanced upon the T-Boat while out on a walking tour along the scenic Binnenkant when we eventually took the turn down Oude Schans. We were ready to sit down and have a cold drink and a smoke when Finatic spotted the T-Boat and directed us on board.

This video was a spur of the moment presentation and was completely off-the-cuff and unrehearsed:

The last time I was in Amsterdam and looking at post cards, I saw that there were still cards available featuring pictures of the T-Boat.

Yes, that's me in the video...

Great post BDH been in all of those seats except 1ehulp. Usually sit in the front. Like the light, the view and chatting to the BT/owner. The seats really are nice.
