I am in Amsterdam Monday, staying at Cornerhouse so I'll check on soft temple and let you know details of the new smartshop

Hollywood coffeeshop on the Singel seemed to be derelict while I was gallivanting past at the end of July.

Perhaps it's time for a map of closed coffeeshops

That could actually be quite interesting if pertinent info were included with each.

Another map, right. Lemming, you are welcome :mrgreen:

Not a bad idea if someone else doesn't mind doing it. :lol:

Seriously though with all the closures slated for the end of the year it could be worth at least putting a cross through several places on the existing map or perhaps displaying them in italic or less bold text so everyone knows which are still going.

Practical but I'd prefer the 'gone but not forgotten' approach.

You have de Professor in Hilversum listed as closed. Nikos submitted a menu from September 26th, so it must still be in business.

Enjoy

Soft temple is definitely gone, its now an eetcafe. There is a smart shop in that area, I think its been there a couple of years though. I've forgotten the address but I'll check tomorrow.

@Lemming
Sadly Greenhouse(now a shisha bar), De Schurk as well as The President and Bambu(Bergsingel 228 - now a smoker friendly bar called 'The Chillout Lounge')are indeed closed! I can happily confirm The Reefer(will email a review for the main page) is still opened for business(Sun-Thu 09-12, Fr-Sa 09-01)though!

@smith2
Considering you're more into hashish too you've got three options: Sensi Cafe(really small smoking cabin where you are allowed to stay for about 30 minutes), Pluto or London. Latter one would be my choice! All about 10-15 minutes away from Rotterdam Centraal and open at 10AM(Sensi Cafe from 9AM). Didn`t notice any particular inviting respectively comfy places around if in general in Rotterdam.

Route 66 is indeed a smoke friendly bar now and has been for a while at least a year I think

Thanks very much people. Lots of info coming in now.

Rusty Shackleford - Thanks for the info. Anyone know whether Hollywood is closed permanently?

Colino - Also thanks for the info. Anyone know whether Magic is closed permanently?

Lafe, treetop, dconstrukt, matty223, worldcitizen1723 - I've been changing the labels to grey on closed shops. Some have been that way for years. Have you actually looked at the map? :lol:

FlyByNite - Excellent! Some good news at last. I shall be very happy to re-open De Professor.

AmDamMan - Thanks for confirming about Soft Temple. The smartshop was actually on the side of the church.

Jesscass - Thanks very much for all the info on Rotterdam. Any reviews for the main site would be appreciated.

Roo-Vee-Bo - thanks for confirming about Route 66.

Thanks
Lem
